    This song was written by The Bee Gees, British group, British song...

    • @Brandon.Reacts
      @Brandon.Reacts Před 5 lety +2

      Don’t want to piss on your parade or anything, but actually the ‘Bee Gees’ originated in Australia, and they wrote this song whilst over there. They are English, but emigrated to Australia, before the bee gees was even an idea

    • @wishkid79
      @wishkid79 Před 5 lety +2

      Brandon Cook Just because a person emigrates, doesn’t automatically render their nationality void. The Bee Gees were born in Manchester and grew up there, before the family relocated to Australia. Thus, they remained British, even when living in Oz, so the song is a British song by a British group that just so happened to be recorded by an American duet.

    The thing is, this is not a British song. Why? Are we really funny? I guess so. Most of these people perform American stuff. Hehehehe. Okay, whatever.

    • @Brandon.Reacts
      @Brandon.Reacts Před 5 lety +3

      Not American either, the band was British, but they formed the bee gees in Australia, after forming more success they then moved back to England

    • @wishkid79
      @wishkid79 Před 5 lety +3

      What a truly ridiculous remark to make. As the Bee Gee’s where British, born in Manchester before emigrating to Australia as children, the song is very clearly a British song. The Bee Gees wrote it initially as an R’nB track, but when Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton recorded it, it inadvertently became a Country and Western staple.
