Bayern Fan here and now with some distance to the game here my opinion to the controversial decision.
Harry Kane elbow: it is a red card. We got lucky.
Gabriel handball: ball was free and it should be an pen per rules. But it was clearly some misunderstanding there and he had no pressur at all on him so to not give it is okay. But if a bayern player is near the penalty area and runs at him you have to give that pen.
Saka: not a pen even a dive imo. Can't blame him tho. Ever player does that and we have at least 3 player who try that all the time. You can't really lose by trying that.

Why are comments thread contributors so obsessed with making 'better than' statements as if our own opinion of what is better than something else is more authoritative than the next person's?
Isn't it enough just to enjoy things for their own merits and just privately have preferences? Do you write on Instagram about how potatoes are good but carrots are better by far? No, because that would be mad. Preference does not equal 'better than'.

The inconsistencies regarding all these penalties makes me feel a bit for the refs. Just last week, Alan and Gary were crediting Harvey Elliott for winning Liverpool a penalty against Manchester for what we can call incidental contact. Now, this week they are basically saying that Saka tried to con the ref in that incident. How is it different from what Elliott did? If the pundits can't be consistent, how then can the refs be?

If the keeper doesn’t make an easy save, it doesn’t matter, at least he tried

Away goals was a terrible rule to begin with, much more entertaining now and the team that progresses has actually won. disagree on extra time, Important to consider the affect of removing it, people complain that the game sometimes fizzles out as teams don't want to lose and are prepared for penalties, but removing it will only cause us to see that same effect happening earlier, probably from half time in the second leg
