Love these type of videos! I also watched the TPG wherein Archie exploded. I think that it was poorly hosted by TPG having two "surprise Guests" and with the subject FU watches. As well I saw Nico being loyal to TPG and Archie feeling slighted by Nico. Overall TPG is nothing more than watching a future train. wreck.

In general big ticket items are fairly similar around the world but the non-Rolex sub $15k models are usually cheaper than on Chrono24 for example. Then when buying from individuals off the local buy-sell groups you can really get good deals. I’ve done that a lot.

Prices are coming off a little from the insane highs and stocks are just not selling. However just like the housing market, it takes a critical event of biblical financial proportion like the Lehman collapse to really make a dent in the prices before they go up again. Riots and a pandemic have barely slowed down the upward trend. Dealers might find themselves with a problem when the money spent on luxuries is allowed to go back to travel if this pandemic ever ends. At some point they will need to sell those Pepsi and Daytona’s, won’t they?
Just found your channel, also living in HK. During your HK walks, would you have come across a store which have the VC Overseas either 41mm or 42.5mm Chrono available second hand? Hard to find..

I have searched high and low, asked my dealer in Antwerp, but it is unattainable… It’s a mysterious watch. Apparently it’s for the asian market, but with that size…? I am very intrigued with that model, especially the black one with the jubilee-esq bracelet, but i have no clue on the thickness & wearability of the watch….. does it even exist? No youtube review to find about that one other than an Indonesian short one that shows very little.

You need to know the market and what is reasonable. See if you can trade something in at a good price for the dealer and yourself. In any case if you gonna make an offer, which is better than asking their “best price”, be ready to throw down cash. Even if there are now easy modes of bank transfer that don’t cost anything, they do leave a trace for the taxman so contrary to what Federico Talks Watches said, have the cash ready to pay. It carries better impact and shows you’re serious.

You can buy them but that’s a reseller’s window. Sick prices but never hurts to go in and offer a price. I bet very few have sold and dealers would take a cut depending on what they paid for them.

Dealers don’t disappear from one day to the next and don’t need the trouble, so all is as genuine as they can identify it, HOWEVER with the vintage stuff, a replaced part that earns them more isn’t out of the question so best to buy the seller and go with the ones with good reputation. For modern stuff, you’re pretty safe here
i’ve been to wing kong watches the sales are ok but i think they thought you are a tourist so they treat you that way just like the electronics shops scams in tst
Yeah, unfortunately for me I’m inevitably taken for a tourist in most shops. The smaller shops in backstreets are more welcoming as they can tell that if you found them, you must have been looking for something specific so they spare you the sales pitch.

In HK when go to AD you will be directed to next door grey dealers to buy it immediately at super premium 😂😂😂😂😂

Looking at the price tag on the 16710 at 28.20 min I think it had a 3186 movement (rarer) and stick dial.
