- My band Lazlo Bane's quarantine cover of our Scrubs theme song, I'm No Superman, featuring guest appearances from cast members, Zach Braff and Neil Flynn, as well as many musicians and friends including Colin Hay, Lisa Loeb, Josh Radin, Priscilla Ahn, Cary Brothers, Louise Goffin, Lyle Workman and many more join in at the very end.
The video is dedicated to my cousins, Caryn & Alex Fischer, who are health care workers on the frontlines of the COVID 19 epidemic in New York
The video is also in loving memory to Scrubs cast member, Sam Lloyd Jr, who we lost to cancer last week.

Ah... tears in my eyes and my throat is shut. You guys are part of the only medical show that I love. I was a resident in 2001 through 2004. So much of this show hits the truth as I have lived it. Scrubs is the only medical show that can turn on a dime from insane juvenalia to that truth that reaves your heart. Thank you for your beautiful song!
(not sarcasm): Thanks for making me look up "juvenalia" and "reave". I love learning new words I encounter. While looking up juvenalia, I also discovered "juvenilia", which is defined as, "Works, particularly written or artistic works, produced in an author's or artist's youth".
(cf. your "juven*alia*": "items connected with children, such as toys, dolls, teddy bears, etc.". To help me differentiate it from "juven*ilia*", I think of it along the same lines as "paraphern*alia*", or, articles or equipment used in a particular activity. I'll now simply associate juvenalia with paraphernalia (both "-alia"s) in that they both remind me of scattered physical miscellany. Scrubs was an awesome show, its opening theme (and the full version it came from) was awesome, and this self-"cover" was equally so!
I'm so glad (retrospectively in 2023) we all *did* get to finally be together again, although I never lost that faith. Regardless, those were rough times.
My condolences to anyone with lost loved ones of the pandemic, and RIP, Sam Lloyd. A true talent, and by all accounts, a terrific and lovely man.
