Smartest cycling commentary. Always finding all the nuance and details of race tactics and making cycling all the more interesting!
All the young French and Spaniards have a really good command of English. How things have changed.
If only Americans would learn French and Spanish. Wouldn't that be something?
@@c-recordThe last Vuelta winner is an American who speaks excellent spanish…
SD Worx currently is a binfire. Not only on the road, but now they are also going to court against Amy Pieterse over her disability insurance. SD Worx business is HR outsourcing, including legal stuff. The way the cycling team they sponsor runs its HR is not exactly good publicity.
what is the court case about?
Been wondering how Amy has to have a gofundme to afford care. It’s a disgrace that’s allowed.
While sd works is a binfire, in the court case pieters claims her previous contracts with sd work equal an indefinite contract untol age 67. Dont know much about law, sounds far fetched in regards to cycling contracts. Maybe a lantern rouge cycling lawyer could shed more light :p
Go woke go broke
@@lucaschafer6742 In dutch employment law, after a certain amount (3 off the top of my head) of contract extensions, you MUST be offered a permanent contract. Currently the only exception for this is for footballers and not for other sports with similar contract structures. hence the lawsuit and why this case has some interesting consequences for riders on dutch registered teams.
Vollering actually emulated Indurain perfectly here. In all his 7 Grand Tour wins, he never won a single non-time trial stage, inevitably getting outsprinted every time he was there in the front group on mountain stages.
Love that Muzic smile
Actually, Indurain would have lost the stage and won GC, so I'd say she did the perfect Indurain impression😊
Luc Leblanc did what Muzic in Hautacam. La Plagne was different since Zulle was ahead in the solo break and was never gonna get caught.
Indurain would take back 12 minutes in the TT
I love the Big Mig, but let’s hope that DV is not going to do exactly as Miguel did…
I was actually thinking about Bruyneel and Indurain in 1995
You are exaclty right and Lanterne Rouge is often a clueless moron and extremely overrated. He often failes to see the big picture champions are seeing as well as most of us .... because it is not even that hard to see what Vollering did here. Vollering couldn't care less about Muzic or giving her the win. Vollering is out to win the title and basically won it here. This stage was a HUGE success for her!!!
That smile on Music's face omg. She's absolutely glowing. Well deserved win
The winner interviews these past two stages 😍
Vollering has every 1week race gc in her pocket if she doesn´t crash
Yeah this shouldn't be called a grand tour, at least do it 2 weeks, don´t understand how Germany, Ireland, Portugal or the US, aren't jumping on the opportunity to have a real grand tour for women with real gc endurance racing
True
@@bernardo9202i don't think there is enough money yet to make a longer race. Still 1 week is plenty off Time to race. Maybe 2 weeks in the futur but it's good to do it steep by step.
I already mentioned this before. They say it’s a money issue. That why its only a week.
@@gandul1234 Portugal and Germany spend more on A volta a Portugal and tour of Germany, and a grand tour is more valuable than a CT 2 week race in the case of Portugal and a 1 week race in Germany that has lost their potential
Muzic said she’d do it, and then she did it. Like Babe Ruth calling his homers! 🏟️
Like Pogi calling his races.
Wiiide smile, love it ❤
Yeah she was so happy I couldn't help but smile too for her.
i was wondering if she's related to estaban chaves.. like such happiness.
Kastelijn looks on track for a big GC podium this year.
Évita has a VERY distinctive riding style, I am glad I am not the only one who can immediately pick her out of the crowd. Amazing athlete, tremendous win, and she should take that confidence forward! Stop being so "kind" and fight!
Thanks @LanterneRouge, I love the point of being future teammates, that would be an amazing 1-2 if FDJ collects Muzic and Vollering with additionally a strong, strong, strong Grace Brown for heavy pulls.
I think of a Vingagaard-Kuss-Van Aert trio in the making!
Plus Cecile as well can chase down just about anyone on a short sharp climb.
@@joelecho just need Cecilie for interviews 😂
So happy for Evita 🎉🎉
So many good young talents for ladies cycling and its so exciting! The future looks great for the ladies cycling and lets pray they get more exposure!
SD Workx doing Demi Vollering dirty this year. Terrible show of character from their team leadership.
Yet again, another incredible SD-Worx team performance. Demi basicly didnt have to do anything today
Great as always. Thanks!
So stoked for Muzic!
Not too surprising with Kastelign after watching her ride away on the Koppenberg and Berengin cross races a few years back. When healthly she scoots.
Love your vids😃
That smile!
"Muzič" 😆
That was a brilliant win by Evita Muzic. Hopefully she can enjoy it now, because next year she's going to have to work for Demi Vollering.
Love the fighting spirit of the Fenix team
Is Demi just too strong and are the people in the car thinking, she'll win anyway, give Fisher Black and Reusser the chance to go for their own result? She clearly can do the job on her own because she's just so good, but man it's hard to watch the disrespect
0:54 are you becoming a views guy LR?
I'm going soft in my old age
Luc Leblanc did the same as Muzic with Indurain ni Hauracam. Nobody said it backfired then. And it certainly didnt backfire today
Kastelijn's "attack" was super funny to watch. I don't know if she was actually just trying to move to the front, but she barely did that. Got 0 seperation.
I agree that her climbing performance is really good, and is a really nice surprise. It's just that "acceleration" which was sort of unintentionally funny (:
He keeps bringing up the term "uni puerto stage", but I can't find an explanation online. Can anyone help me out here?
Also love Muzic's face being all smile at 6:15, congrats!
A flat stage with a single climb at the end
In Spanish, "uni puerto" would mean "single climb". I.e. the stage includes only one significant climb in it, as opposed to hill stages with multiple peaks.
@@Frostbiker ugh, I could have thought of chucking puerto into a translator to figure it out... Thanks guys!
it didn’t backfire she still put a lot of time into her main competitors.
what's wrong with Volering's team? are they unfit to compete? is that why she is going it alone?
i've become a vollering fan this season, she could have won that sprint but made a big mistake with the gearing, should've shifted up a couple of cogs before trying to respond... was already at far too high of a cadence to try to follow in that gear. Oh well. Very nice ride all around.
SD Worx are trying to lose this race lol
Cool!
I was expecting more uproar over that bottle crash. Also, did you see that spectator get a bottle to the head!?😅😅😅😅
Your video title states, Indurain Impression Backfires. How exactly? You explain what is going on with your commentary so why give a misleading title? She had a great ride, increased her margin and showed she’s better than the rest.
So many future stars and young guns all over the place.
❤
Volring rode like a knuckle head by pacing all the way
Okay ….Is it pronounced ‘Muzich’, like you said, or ‘Muzeek’ as they say on Eurosport?
👍
Please tell me LR has rights of the giro 😭
I thought this was a great ride by muzic. Vollering as well but just a good move by muzic, thats how you do it.
1:15 the internally rotated knees are out of control here, give us a break.
I'm starting to think the problem is that Demi is simply too strong. None of her team are strong enough to pull or pace her at the pointy end of stages.
I mean Demi is literally pulling 20 cyclists all the way up at the end and no one except Muzic can keep up...
I'm really looking forward to the first (non-Polish) commentator to not butcher Niewiadoma's name. And I'm totally hoping that Patrick is gonna be the one. I'm counting on you, don't let me down...
National champs jerseys shouldn't be allowed to be the same colour as the GC jersey
Agree. Vuelta organisers should insist on the Swiss & Canadian Jerseys be all white with a flag band on it like the Brazilian jersey
This ain't the Mur de Huy
Very strange that riders at back turned it into club ride immediately...men peleton seems to go full gas all the time.
Absolutely no reason whatsover to ride on the front. None, zero, nada.
Why isn't she making the others race for second third and best of the rest.
Insanity from SD worx.
it's funny you pronounce her name like she's from the balkans, in french it's simply "muzik"
so...'music'?
@@lostcosmonaut3966 yes :)
FDJ Coming strong
thats not a backfire, time on GC contenders
evita is damn cute
Why did Vollering go back down the climb where everyone was coming up? Isn't that kinda dangerous?
There wasn't enough place at the top for all the riders. In the full broadcast at one point there was a helicopter shot; apparently the road simply stops there, and there's just a bit of a clearing. So there's no other choice than to ride back down. This is not uncommon even in stages with a finish on the top.
@@rschroev Ah, ok! Thanks.
Lanterne Rouge: "Demi Vollering's "Indurain" Impression Backfires"
Oh no! No-no-no-NOOO! She-she didn't take drugs, right?
Demi cant ouf of saddle climbing? Power of out of saddle Ride uphill
With 12.5K to go a spectator got it in the head with a water bottle. Rider should be DQ.
Well as Indurain was a huge drug cheat, not a great comparison.
your highlights
So many future stars and young guns all over the place.
