As an INTJ female, this is so true. I liked this guy a lot for years (He actually asked me out, which I wanted him to, and I backed out because I didnât want attention drawn to myself, considering he was popular, extroverted, and hot to every girl then).
I only acted attracted to him when no one was around, and when people were around, I treated him like nothing but an acquaintance, and he was good with that. We secretly liked each other, and kept it secret, just how we liked it. But, when he wanted to be official, my fear of emotions and drawing attention to myself caused me to ditched out.
(Donât regret it, because he is not nearly as unique, hilarious, intelligent, thought-provoking, etc. as he used to be.. kind of an airhead now)

I started crying after hearing the INFJ one because it reminded me of one of the first dates me and my bf had. Probably, but the two ENTPs that I'm friends with do this more than average. I think they get bored, and they kind of like exploring ideas to the extent that the drama itself is enjoyable because of the possibilities. It's like, if you keep pushing the buttons you get free new things to play with due to the unpredictability of free will and human nature. At least...that's been my observation. It's just one of those typical things where a person's greatest strength is also their greatest weakness.

He would generally ask for it in a more subtle way, but once I've started telling him, he will ask for "more details", or "how do you feel about this side of me?". He's adorable and I love him, but sometimes he can be unbearable ...

One way to handle the embarrassment is to deny the journal, but that makes things complicated for an INFP. When Frank James acts like an INFP boyfriend, he confidently mentions the feelings he wrote about in his journal, which immediately embarrasses him. In response, he denies that he has a journal: ". . . I don't have a journal. Who said that?"
It is a tricky conflict when strong feelings give you confidence, and they also embarrass you, but that is the conflict that INFPs must resolve.
I would say that:
A common fear for an INFP is that other people will misunderstand him/her because many people do not trust feelings. INFPs may even fear that they do not understand themselves. A journal is a tool that might help you to identify how you feel, and why your feelings make sense, but there are other tools you could use instead. The important thing is to build self-confidence. A good place to start is to simply notice what you feel.
Embarassment is impossible to avoid completely so learn about how to manage it. You can sometimes deny, disguise, or even overcome embarassment, but when those responses do not work, you will have to endure embarassment. When that happens, do your best to move onward because there are more important things than to be embarassed.

Iâm ENFJ and itâs relateable đ mainly because we can be so bloody critical of ourselves and really want to be better so when people tell us honestly what they like and dislike about us we REALLY appreciate it because it reassures is of our good things and allows us to work on our bad things. Very self aware.
Only problem is we tend to do the same analysing on other people forgetting it can be quite offensive even though itâs from a good place đ

For the record, INTPs only zone out when our thoughts are more interesting than the conversation. This happens a lot, but not so much on a date (at least if you are an INTP male in a culture where women don't normally ask men out) for 2 reasons 1) We don't ask someone out unless we really like them (because it is super hard to ask people out so we pick our battles wisely) 2) We are way more interested in what women we like are saying than the average person.
Hence, we are tuned in.
This is what I love about INTPs. No wonder, I have a thing for them! đ€Ł The best part is, they don't judge you and are patient to know everything about you unlike most people who don't like talking about feelings or deep thoughts... INTPs really go for quality over beauty and are very loyal people. Just as I like!đ
