Our village is located at the foot of a beautiful mountain. So the whole village is very cool with the cold wind coming from the mountain. Vegetables, fruits, grains and spices that are native to our region and cultivated all over Sri Lanka have also been grown in our village. Mostly organic crops are grown in our village.
So the pepper season is here. Today my mother and I are picking peppers. It is the red-colored gummaris that should be cut. We broke a basket of peppers today.
Peppers were cut, dried thoroughly in the sun and packed in bottles. Then we can use it during the rainy season.
Pepper is a spice that has medicinal value.
In my video today, you can see what I tried to cook using these peppers.
If we make a small garden to meet our home food needs as much as possible, it is also good for our mental health. There is peace of mind when you live with nature.
