In its folk song concert on October 4, 2015 at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Cologne Male Voice Choir presented folk songs from Germany and Europe in sonorous arrangements put together especially for this concert.
"Zum Tanze da geht ein Mädel" is a German folk song of Swedish origin. It follows a girl's attempts at wooing and enamoring a boy with the help of a golden ribbon.

Ich kannte das Lied aus dem Musikunterricht in meiner Volksschulzeit. Ich habe es gehasst! und wollte es fast nicht vom KMGV anhören. Sie haben mich mir ihrer Interpretation mehr als überzeugt.
