I saw Di Stefano circa 1962 at Carnegie Hall. As described by Corelli, his voice was round rich and beautiful. Much the same as he was on records except for the beautiful overtones in the theater. Unfortuanely, we will never see or hear anything like him again. R.I.P.

Удивительно различные получились впечатления : -кажущаяся простота мощного пения Карузо ; -отточенное ( несколько " задавленное" в среднем регистре ) звучание стального голоса Бариони ; -широко распевное звучание бель канто Ди Стефано ( скорее не тенора, а баритона)... Если бы в Истории вокала не было ИХ и нескольких других Великих теноров , то мы могли бы и не услышать Лучано Паваротти, в котором слились воедино лучшие певческие достижения его знаменитых предшественников и современников. Each of his versions you can find on CZcams beats the others hands down. Even better than Enrico Caruso which is amazing when you keep in mind that "Core 'ngrato" was written for him.
