I’d rather those things were shown rather than the bland cliched stuff.
brutal truth.
Yeah but if it was always like this it would be shit. It's fun when it's rare.
It's a game of two halves really, their keeper had a good day at the office and at the end of the day we deserved more goals.
We'll take the positives from this game and focus on the next one.
So would I. Trouble is, the Beeb wouldn’t have it. What with Roy f’ing and blindin like that. Somebody would loose their job. So we have to shown the sanitised version
That one second pause on "Any... decisions you weren't happy with?" where he's thinking do I really dare ask him again? 🤣🤣
The pause between you and weren't as well. He was shitting himself. Typical interviewer.

Underated manager. Everyone highlights his England and Liverpool days but he got Fulham to a European final and took the job at palace when the had no points from 7 games, hadn't scored a goal and then kept them up. He more than holds his own.
Also completely revolutionised football in Switzerland and Sweden. Massive impact as a manager.

Straight shooter. I like people like that. Sideways people, not so much. Fair play to him calling out the journalist.
To be honest all the commentator said was "which one" just to try and clarify for the viewers what decision Roy was on about.
Roy was clearly unhappy with the referee, but decided to take his anger out on the journalist. Bit of a dick move if you ask me.

There's a lot of sides to Roy we don't get to see, when he was in the England job he was painted as this bland 'yes man', Paul Ince said that from his time at Inter, Roy's hairdryer treatment is worse than fergies, Andros Townsend cites him as a big influence on both his career and of shaping him a person, he's a god in Sweden...quite an interesting character.

This is what happens when referees aren't held accountable for their decisions and the managers being harshly punished by the FA for justified criticism of the referees.
They were getting along so well in the begging as well
The media are snakes.
In the begging, there was nothing, then God said let there be light!
In the begging Roy was just giving him small talk
Yeah. When I saw the begging I really didn't see it take such a sudden turn.
The reporter must have been beginning Roy to calm down.
1:36 Impressive how he switched from being so angry to professional in a heartbeat
I've always wondered how managers are so calm after losing on these post match interviews. Now I know they cuss on the first 5 takes to calm down.
Thats how every manager should treat them. honest and with plenty of freedom of speech. I might actually watch football then. Excellent Roy Excellent interview..
Love Roy! Keeping it real
Gaskil :Satisfying day @ the office Roy.
Hodgson:let's not take the fuckin piss.. 🤣
I don't blame Roy. Alot of these people all do the same thing. They play stupid on purpose. They seen the game from start to finish. Shouldn't be pretending not to know about the controversial decisions.
Couldn't agree more
Journalism
I mean I guess that's how they are taught to start a interview. I don't really blame them, all journalists do the same, must be taught then.
@@koustavchatterjee9974 I understand they got to ask questions about the match. But acting stupid is ridiculous. They seen the game from start to finish so I don't see what's the point in playing stupid it doesn't work. So instead of pretending they don't know what happened. they should just ask the manager his opinion about the game. At the end of the day they are highly intelligent adults and should act like it.
To be fair Roy is being purposefully vague so the interviewer has to ask him to clarify what decision he is talking about. A lot of managers and players do it so they don’t get called out for being hypocritical later down the line. Journalists do my head in but I think he is in the right to ask Roy to clarify what decision he wasn’t happy about otherwise he could just deny he was referring to that decision if he is asked about it again at a later date.

Kicks off right here
You might want to correct what you wrote in the description below the video. This interview was not from Hodgson's time as Crystal Palace manager. It was when he was managing West Bromwich Albion. And it wasn't a "humiliating defeat", he had just won 2-1 against Bolton. You can tell from the caption in the video iteslef (0:48), as well as the fact that Hodgson expresses satisfaction with the overall result (if not a certain penalty decision!).
Why is this in my recommended 😂😂😂
This is how we need the interviews to be with honesty and seeing managers wearing their hearts on their sleeves....😀
Almost forgot to watch this today.
I met Roy on the tube when I worked in London, he was such a loverly fella so its hilarious seeing this side to him.
No, you didn't!
Very well said by Roy and what a decent bloke he is.
They should have used the original footage, it was gold Jerry, gold.

Roy Hodgson says it as it is..... Much better than he says, "Round and round the rugged rock the ragged rascal ran."
That's gotta be up there with Harry Kane in a shop asking for 20 Number 6 and a box of Swan Vestas matches please
LOVE it! So much respect for Roy!
Anyone here after he announced retirement?

The description is wrong. He wasn’t managing Crystal Palace at that time.
He was West Brom manager at the time. I'm pretty sure they won that game as well, as you can see when the result is displayed at the beginning.
