  • In today's video, we work on 3 massive Trident maple bonsai. as a beginner to bonsai, this was a great experience to work with such amazing trees. the last tree in the video was the worst pot bound tree I have experienced.

    I think you should have left more space around those thick roots you cut to let small roots develop from the cuts. The way you seem to have planted the tree, the cuts are very close to the edges of the box, and the small roots that will develop there will be deformed

      yeah that is going to happen, but with it going in a box for now, those roots are going to get cut back again when he puts it in a proper bonsai pot. This was the first container the tree went in since being dug up. Appreciate the comments.
