15th January 2019 the Airport was opened by King Felipe VI.
Revisit this time to the terminal, very large inside with a WH Smiths shop and a Costa shop on the ground floor. Since my first visit, you now have to pay at the carpark by scanning your ticket.

It's lovely how quiet it is. I'm not a fan of loads of people and not being able to get a seat anywhere. Defo a welcome change from a modern airport.

Nice one Shaun, looks lovely and quiet and very English with the WH Smith and Costa. We are looking forward to flying out there in June. While we were out in Spain last week we looked at a villa on a “golf” resort nearby - Mosa Trajectum. Would be a good one for you to fly your drone over. The golf course has been out of use for many years but they are just starting to do some work on it as apparently an investor has come in. They do have 24/7 security at the entrance though.

Fantastic airport! Defiantly one of my favourites very chilled and spacious. We used it the first day it opened, I have a video on my channel of the first flight. We used it again in March, great to see there are more shops and a proper duty free area. The summer flights have started so it will be getting even busier. Great addition to the area and thanks for another great vid Shaun.

My first thought was that the world has become very homogeneous. The airport shops and brands are the same everywhere now. Well done Shaun!

It said Libre as you arrived at the car park but I see it is not. Nice new airport I hope it has more use than Almeria airport with more destinations as it will save a lot of people in your area having to go to Alicante.

Nice visit with some cloudy weather that from time to time there is also in Murcia. Waiting for Terminator 6 to come to cinemas to see how the airport looks like at the cinema

That's a good insight for me to see since I'll be arriving at Corvera end of this month. The airport has a cold and clinical ambience it would seem, especially in comparison to San Javier.
