wish there was a smaller starter set. The pellnenor fields one isn't that appealing as a jumping on point
@@thektorMK1 I started with the starter set it's pretty good, but you should make a couple of the people into captains and add some banners to other people if you want to make a functional army
@@thektorMK1 I think it's a decent value set but you'll need to buy a couple of things to suppliment each army. There's some great models included, though.
Yeah, would be cool if we were also given starters like First Strike and Know no Fear. Or, perhaps, bringing back the old battleforce boxes.
I somehow stumbled across part 1 of this battle last week, having never played any of these sorts of games... a week on and thanks to your channel, I've bought the Pelennor Fields set and spending my evenings painting (terribly)

Oh dude! That was absolutely amazing. Given that it is nearly as long as the Fellowship of the Ring it was just as grand and epic. I feel massively sorry for Ryan. His rolling had betrayed him, Ori came in for the clutch and that double Mumakil killing was just pure class. Glad you boys saw it through to the end and wrapped up a nice battle report.

A mighty battle well fought. The camera work was so good, with close-ups allowing us to see the details on the table. This is seldom the case with so many Battle Reports on other channels.

Wow, this was exhausting just watching it! I don't know how you managed playing it... Machines! I'd go as far to say this is THE best ME:SBG video (2-parter) on CZcams, and I watch a lot of them! Please do more narrative scenarios, you really do them justice with your awesome terrain and models, and they look like something out of the movies. A+++++.

Having attempted a 30000 point(Total) battle and barely getting through 3 turns in a long weekend, I deeply understand the endurance a battle like this takes. Totally amazing to watch and it really was my favourite youtube video in a long time. Love this game and you give it amazing justice. Thanks!
I'd love to see a 10,000 point last alliance battle. I know it's a lot of orcs but it'll be an incredibly awesome battle to watch, it's genuinely one of my favourite LOTR battles. It would be a long one to complete but really would represent what an important part of the second age it was. Large scale battles like this are fantastic to watch and follow all the way through to the very end.

Zorpazorp just need a black version of the Geonosis board then you're good to go, and the matter of painting hundred of orcs too 😂 hopefully by then they'll be new last alliance models out, which would be a perfect time to showcase them

Loved the various intros, especially the bits with the added sounds in the back (i.e. when you said that the gondorians were doing well there was the "for Gondor, for Gondor!" cry)

Nothing wrong about it. Only that I have to start painting again. I was in a good state, like 2 minatures a day, then Bannerlord came out and I stoped and now i just cant start again :(

Great to watch, nice editing. Really liked that the orcs held the centre for so long. Liked how close it was. I always felt evil was up against it.

i didn't think the King of the dead could soul drain a model with more than 5 wounds. I thought they erratad it to do "half of their wound count". I could be wrong.
I know the Balrog is immune to the autokill but I think Mumak's still are will have to check the FAQ.

Around the 2 hour 7 min mark or there abouts, that camel wouldn't be able to move out of the control zone freely i thought??. If you're stuck in a control zone at the start of your move, your options are to stay where you are, charge the model, or move wihtin the control zone and not charge as i interpret the wording on p.24. So would you would need to negate the zones first before that first camel could charge legolas and Gimli?? P.24 of the rules book under "Stuck in a control zone" for reference :)
You can absolutely leave control zones :)
If you start in a control zone your options are:
- Stay still
- Charge the model who's zone you are in
- Leave the zone as long as you are able to do so without getting closer to the model whose zone you are in.
