      @AJ-gk7bn Před rokem

      Yes there is a reason and the reason is because they’re dumb and insist on sticking with their polymer coated magazines. Thus their magazines are too thick too hold more than 10 rounds.
      But considering the 48/43x doesn’t share magazine compatibility with the rest of the Glock line up it was utterly idiotic to not use a steel magazine with higher capacity.

    Good video answer some questions I was having about the Glock 48. I have carried several guns over several years trying to find that perfect gun lol. But I found myself carrying a smith and Wesson shield plus and it’s good but. I want something with a bit longer barrel. I sometimes also carry a full size 1911 in 9 mm that I love and is so slime. That brings me to the 48 reasons it’s slimline and light weight compared to other firearms. Like you said I’m ok with 10 rounds in a magazine. I have both the 48 and 43X and shoot only with the Shield Arms mags. I have never had any problems with any of them. As for carry, the 48 is carried appendix in a Fierce Defender holster and much of the time I forget that it is there. I am not a fan of the grip texture, but once I put a Talon Pro Grip on them it was perfect.
    About 5 years ago I discovered Red Dot optics and have become such a fan of them that I have them on several of my pistols. Even though my 48 is an MOS version, I have decided to keep it with just Truglo steel sights (at least for now).

    Armalaser makes imho the BEST and most intuitive laser sight on the market AND they have one for G-48. But the main reason I like it is the psychological effect it can have on a bad guy, to in 35% of cases according to one serious study, to drop to all 4’s in surrender to a policeman. Even with the Armalaser on my Glock, I shoot mainly two ways: As Masaad Ayoob says, with sights, and then I point shoot (pure instinctive) if bad things happen faster than expected. It works and has stopped violent attacks by 4-legged beasts. God gave us that ability IF WE DEVELOP IT AND BELIEVE. I’ve also also gone from the G-19 for the 5 ounces light G-48. I liked the 19 better at the range but my lower back said no to my carrying the Glock-19. If we think about the main reason to carry in the first place, then G-48 sure makes good sense. It’s the best choice for many for the reasons you stated. The Glock 48 MOS costs more, it’ll be the one to go for to reach out further. Gun battles at 25 yards hopefully isn’t on the horizon. If that kind of chaos happens under this insane hijacked presidency, then our best choice is to run and hide and fight back with a long arm firearm.

Is it ever completely dark where you would need a light? If you do your in the wrong place. There’s always ambient light from something. It’s going to take place fast and close. You probably aren’t even going to look at your sights much less have time to line up the dot on a red dot sight. Unless it’s going to do double duty as a home defense gun I’d leave it as is. All stock is a preference thing, but there are mil, LEO, and comp guys who build custom guns that are very reliable. To me, the important thing is putting thousands of rounds through the gun every time you make a change, and troubleshoot issues. If you're hesitant to carry the SA mags that probably means you need more rounds through it to regain confidence
    Regarding round count...definitely agree it's overblown importance. 10 vs 15 rounds isn't a big deal. If you are worried about it, carry an extra mag and practice your changes. Average DGU situation ends with under 4 rounds fired.
    The slimline MOS versions are very slick. Glock was milking the fanbase big time, but what are you gonna do? If you bought the original 48 it's probably because timing-wise you needed the gun then, not later. I do feel bad for people who bought it on an impulse and didn't need it but then the differences should matter way less.
