- PRINCE William will be “hugely successful” as the future king if he channels the strengths of both his parents - King Charles and the late Princess Diana - claims an expert.
Royal historian and author Gareth Russell claimed the Prince of Wales has “very different influences” which will make him “exciting” as a monarch.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Gareth said it’s wrong for people to shoehorn “William as being Charles's son” and “Harry as Diana's son”.
The historian explained: “We sort of forget they have similarities to the other parent.

Oh yes I believe William will be a wonderful King. Harry decided he wanted out to be Hollywood with his manipulating wife. I saw an interview of one of Diana's close friends, sorry can't remember her name, but she said she saw a lot of Diana's natural empathy in William.

I have noticed that when Harry speaks of his mother he always references her death. William tells stories about how funny she was, plus anecdotes about her kindness. Since Diana often defied the palace to make her sons' childhood more normal and fun, i think she would more appreciate the latter.
I have read that the Queen Mother used to like having William come to visit her. Diana would get upset because she never wanted to invite Harry. What Diana never put any consideration to is that the reason was that Diana never reprimanded Harry, so he did not know how to behave when he was with the Queen Mother. In other words he was a spoilt brat. This same historian mentioned that Catherine reminded him of the Queen Mother in very positive ways. Perhaps qualities that William enjoyed about his great-grandmothe, he also saw in Catherine.

The Prince of Wales has had the support of both parents emotionally growing up and his grandmother taught him how to rule the country and guiding him into the person he is today , plus he made sure he took the time to get his wife ready for the Royal family and all it entails while dating , they took the time to make sure that they were right for each other and took time to ensure the Princess of Wales knew exactly what she was taking on .

I think the extremely stable, kind, and humble Catherine, Princess of Wales has had a very instrumental role in facilitating the growing relationship between Charles and William from moving from where it was in Wm's early years to what it is now. The late queen and King Charles must have been so happy and grateful to know that the future Monarchy would be in good hands thus allowing Charles the ability to focus 150% on his own reign as King.

What is apparent is William inherited the best of both parents, Harry the worst and their wives have amplified those qualities. William said in the programme he and Harry did, was that he won't be defined by his mother's death and will use it for good. He is a normal and Catherine empathetic like Diana, hence they make a strong couple with a loving marriage. Harry has done the opposite and is an absolute disgrace and mess. The sooner he ends that marriage the better. Harry has always been more like Andrew than we thought and troublesome as well as a narcissist with some empathy, but to see him emasculated by his mid range narcissist wife and become more of a narcissist himself is sad. Let's hope Harry sees the light soon before the tragedy that's looming over that codependent marriage becomes a reality.

I had never considered William as his father's son and Harry as his mother's son, but I do believe William has a more stable blend of both his parents than his brother. Prince William is a people person and will be an extremely successful King, his father King Charles did not have a close relationship with his father, who I think tried to toughen him up against his nature and he hated the school he was sent to, then a disastrous marriage that the family thought was a good idea and it's only in recent years he has come into his own and doing a great job.

The whole concept of monarchy is based on unearned privilege and titles. That being the case, why on earth would King Charles or for that matter, Prince William be keen on legislation that would allow those unearned titles to be stripped away? Many MPs harbour ambitions of sitting in the House of Lords and currently there are 784 sitting Lords, (hereditary Peers and life Peers). I don’t think that any of them would welcome legislation that would allow them to be stripped of their titles. The Private Members bill has been floating about since 2022. I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually just fizzled out.
