I can't help listen with tears rolling down. Reminds me of teen yrs, growing in western side of Kenya. A village roller and a DJ. My friends, majority whom have already passed on, would dance to this song till morning.
Here we are September 2024 and still the rhythm hits hard. Alain kounkou was a maestro in his own world, an architect by providing music which won't fade
You won't find better music. Listen to how Nene Tchakou picks and strums that solo guitar from 7.16. Eish. 🔥. They were at their professional peaks, and everything they touched on music turned into gold. We will never get a better generation of musicians that are as determined and grounded in art.
My number one musician i dont know even how i can meet him and dance for him by his music i dont know even whether he is still alive am mwiza florence from uganda
The whole Nene Tchakou Tchakou and Ngouma Lokito were pleasure generating ensemble and in Alain Kounkou they found a perfect fusion when married to the sweetness of Code Niawou 3615's animations 😊😊😊
Alain Kounkou was a real testimony when Kenyan ASK (Agricultural Show of Kenya) was the real fun when I went and danced to his music at Omega One Discotheque Stand that was no equal to others when it comes to music standards.
Takes me back to 1993. Ahuja disco in my Miranga village (in Seme). We paid 5bob as entry fee. Whenever posters of Ahuja or Omega coming were pasted all-over, we would bake and sell charcoal just to raise the entry money. This life.
Every day in my dad’s car as he was taking us school or literally every time we went somewhere he would play these songs. I was a very small girl then but I enjoyed the songs a lot. I can’t stop crying. RIP daddy ❤
This album had the following: Bass Guitar - Ngouma Lokito Keyboards - Ernest Mvouama Lead Guitar - Nene Tchakou Rhythm Guitar - Nene Tchakou Vocals - Abby Surya, Alain Kounkou
Alain Kounkou was the organist for Wenge Musica for those who do not know that he is actually good pianist as such and can read music. in other words he can play all that type of music. he had been here long before you new it. listen to all the early Wenge Musica recordings and he is one of those musicians disguished as the organists in the background to the right of lead guitarist Alain Makaba, thanks to the owner of the site account.
