    I have a ferris and had the same problem and then read the manual and adjusted shocks like you said AND the qtr. Inch spacers on 3in blocks in the rear corners of the deck and dropped the deck to 3 inches and then adjusted the chains! This helped me tremendously with the cut quality!!

    Johnny super cool slow motion video of a lawnmower cutting grass. Backs up everything you're talking about. Thought you'd like it.

    I've had so many people ask me why I run 2 different high lifts and what's the difference between them. I'm referring then to this video from now on. I'm sick of repeating it....

    Love my ICD deck on my Ferris z3. I run scag blades year round and they work great. I run gators in the fall and winter.

    I've had similar experiences, I just put my gator blades on last week to deal with leaves and finish off the season. (turboforce deck)

    Your past experiences with dealing with weeded and crabgrass yards. Any tips on mowing techniques you have done to make those lawns look as nice as possible after cutting? I find myself cross cutting majority of my properties.

    • @JohnnyMow
      @JohnnyMow  Před 5 lety

      Billy Goat I really don’t have trouble with weedy lawns unless it’s August and full of crabgrass. I cut it once lift it up 3/4 and cut it again

    Johnny what’s your thoughts on the oil guard system Ferris is putting on now? Thanks good video

    • @JohnnyMow
      @JohnnyMow  Před 5 lety

      drew k I’m a little skeptical. The oil they are using is awfully thick. What bothers me about the big blocks they are using the oil to help cool the engine that tells me there is a design flow somewhere

      drew k no need to worry about the oil guard have it on my is2100 z love it. Oil runs cooler. Same technology used on race cars dry sump system they all need to go to it.

    Thanks for the information on the blades. I bought a Snapper this season and have loved it. You mentioned in one of your videos that you take off the striping kit and that you can make any mower stripe. Would you care to make a video on how you do this? I have the flap and haven’t had any stripes this season no matter the grass or height. Any help would be great. Thanks

    most guys do not know how to tune the deck to the mower it"s like a farmer tunning a hay cutter to the tractor and guys think they can mow grass at fifteen miles an hour
