Thank you. After all the changes mentioned are made, it was still not working. I then realized from your screen share, that the "ONBOOT=" parameter in the network configuration should be set to "yes". My linux box had it set to "no" by default. After changing it to "ONBOOT=yes" and restarting the network on the linux box, I was able to connect to the internet.

I need to refresh my Mac address each time I start my vm. This also changes my ip. Will this fix the issue?

you have given, default gateway, but what if we go to another place, where there is seperate subnet mask

I'm unable to ping my local machine from virtual machine
I researched a lot
The solution is : add inbound rule of ICMP packets from windows firewall
From particular destination or port or something
I did it
It worked
