for the why performance the crowd isn't real and the fanchant is their staff but for way 4 luv (i assume since their technology improved) they managed to have a real crowd and fanchants by pllis! it was the same as their concerts basically (you should definitely check out some concert fancams... the production quality is amazing)

Sorry to come back with a super long comment. But I thought you might enjoy reading about their trivia. A lot of their songs are written as a message to the fans. The producing members also said they would compose while keeping in mind who is suitable for singing certain parts, and they also gradually started to bear in mind how choreography may go too. Dear PLLI is 2 : 47 long and the members confirmed that it refers to being with fans 24/7. The song was actually longer, and they deliberately trimmed the song to that length. Pixel World, I Just Love Ya, Our Movie, are like the sing-a-long songs of each single/mini-album release. Our Movie was only added to the 134-1 mini-album at the very end, as they felt something was lacking, so they included it instead of saving it for another time. Bamby and Hamin do a lot of callbacks in their choreography, so you might see similar moves in two songs for example. For Watch Me Woo!, Bamby confirmed that it is meant to mirror Wait For You. Why? and Virtual Idol lyrics includes their catchphrases and internal jokes. In Why? you can hear mentions of "protein" "muscle" and "yeah buddy", much to Noah's delight. In Virtual Idol, the "centre of controversy" phrase is something Hamin says, while "shape of flying" is something Eunho says. All the members are well-aware of the negative comments. Yejun also previously said that they are free PR, viral marketing, and thanked them lol. The duration of From is 3 : 28 so there is speculation that it is a reference to the 327 number of posts that PLAVE has written in the "FROM PLAVE" section of the fancafe (which is now not so active since they've moved to Weverse). The members didn't confirm this though so just fan speculation. We do know that the lyrics are a message to their past selves. During their 1st anniversary live, they each wrote a letter to their past selves and it was a big emotional, crying session. I'm so glad they didn't give up on their dreams. For the fan concert, you may notice that they did a lot of song rearrangements (perks of being self-producing). Also Bamby and Hamin choreographed the whole concert. After the concerts were over, the staff brought them a cake backstage while Our Movie was playing in the background. Upon that, Bamby and Hamin cried a lot while hugging each other. Back then they used to upload song covers on their fancafe, and it accumulated over the months. Then they shifted to Weverse. Only late last year did they start slowly uploading all of them to CZcams once a week. So you may see a fan upload a song cover months ago, but the official channel only doing so recently. Recently, Noah revealed that they discussed and agreed to upload any new covers first to CZcams, instead of strictly sticking to the chronological order. Which makes sense since a lot of the covers uploaded by fans have garnered thousands of views! Besides covers, they also do quite a bit of karaoke sessions on their livestreams. It's a great way to hear their live vocals, and you can hear their improvements then vs now. I'll submit in some of their cover songs request but do know that you can just listen to some of 'em on your own free time!! No pressure! I just really want to share the covers that I particularly enjoy! Other than that, the glitches aren't the only thing that got people into the fandom. In the begining Plave members playing horror games (especially Poppy Playtime) clips also went viral. I still sent links to the concert ones through the google form and you see if you want to react to them or just watch them on your own later ^^ 7:07 About the concert, those are all screens. It might seem like they use holograms, but that's not the case. Vlast tries to play a lot with perspectives and human scale, and works hard to make the central screen look-from as many angles as possible- like a stage where the members are actually standing. Therefore, in this type of concert, the further you are from the screen, the better the experience😂. There are also cameras so members can see their fans and interact with them in real time. In addition, stage lights, pendant lights, and effects such as fire, confetti or handwritten messages falling from the ceiling, bubbles, etc., are not only shown on the screen, but can be seen/collected physically on site. In the future, they say they plan to provide a better experience to fans with their technology in a larger venue, since the site of the first concert was the only one they managed to get and its size limited their possibilities. A lot of their songs are written as a message to the fans. The producing members also said they would compose while keeping in mind who is suitable for singing certain parts, and they also gradually started to bear in mind how choreography may go too.
Dear PLLI is 2 : 47 long and the members confirmed that it refers to being with fans 24/7. The song was actually longer, and they deliberately trimmed the song to that length.
Pixel World, I Just Love Ya, Our Movie, are like the sing-a-long songs of each single/mini-album release. Our Movie was only added to the 134-1 mini-album at the very end, as they felt something was lacking, so they included it instead of saving it for another time.
Bamby and Hamin do a lot of callbacks in their choreography, so you might see similar moves in two songs for example. For Watch Me Woo!, Bamby confirmed that it is meant to mirror Wait For You.
Why? and Virtual Idol lyrics includes their catchphrases and internal jokes. In Why? you can hear mentions of "protein" "muscle" and "yeah buddy", much to Noah's delight. In Virtual Idol, the "centre of controversy" phrase is something Hamin says, while "shape of flying" is something Eunho says. All the members are well-aware of the negative comments. Yejun also previously said that they are free PR, viral marketing, and thanked them lol.
The duration of From is 3 : 28 so there is speculation that it is a reference to the 327 number of posts that PLAVE has written in the "FROM PLAVE" section of the fancafe (which is now not so active since they've moved to Weverse). The members didn't confirm this though so just fan speculation. We do know that the lyrics are a message to their past selves. During their 1st anniversary live, they each wrote a letter to their past selves and it was a big emotional, crying session. I'm so glad they didn't give up on their dreams.
For the fan concert, you may notice that they did a lot of song rearrangements (perks of being self-producing). Also Bamby and Hamin choreographed the whole concert. After the concerts were over, the staff brought them a cake backstage while Our Movie was playing in the background. Upon that, Bamby and Hamin cried a lot while hugging each other.
Back then they used to upload song covers on their fancafe, and it accumulated over the months. Then they shifted to Weverse. Only late last year did they start slowly uploading all of them to CZcams once a week. So you may see a fan upload a song cover months ago, but the official channel only doing so recently. Recently, Noah revealed that they discussed and agreed to upload any new covers first to CZcams, instead of strictly sticking to the chronological order. Which makes sense since a lot of the covers uploaded by fans have garnered thousands of views!
Besides covers, they also do quite a bit of karaoke sessions on their livestreams. It's a great way to hear their live vocals, and you can hear their improvements then vs now. They also do dance challenges on livestreams and again, you can see the improvements then vs now for the non-dance-line.

Other than that, the glitches aren't the only thing that got people into the fandom. In the begining Plave members playing horror games (especially Poppy Playtime) clips also went viral. There should be cut out clips from PLLI's uploaded on youtube so do check it out for a little fun! :)

And from the concert: "The Search" (Hamin) and "Drowning" (Noah), but choose the ones you see most mentioned. 7:07 About the concert, those are all screens. It might seem like they use holograms, but that's not the case. Vlast tries to play a lot with perspectives and human scale, and works hard to make the central screen look-from as many angles as possible- like a stage where the members are actually standing. Therefore, in this type of concert, the further you are from the screen, the better the experience😂. There are also cameras so members can see their fans and interact with them in real time. In addition, stage lights, pendant lights, and effects such as fire, confetti or handwritten messages falling from the ceiling, bubbles, etc., are not only shown on the screen, but can be seen/collected physically on site. In the future, they say they plan to provide a better experience to fans with their technology in a larger venue, since the site of the first concert was the only one they managed to get and its size limited their possibilities. Some virtual artists bring live bands to accompany them with instrumentation and I really hope they can do the same one day.

I really feel the hate comes mainly from people wrongly believing the purpose of virtual groups is to try to replace/resemble non-virtual groups, when they literally come to offer a completely different experience and the reason they're created is also different. I always try to explain that PLAVE is simply a platform for visual artists/gaming-tech experts AND musicians/dancers to showcase their art and gain experience in the process, just like animated movies or video games or any artistic project, but in the long term. It's a type of art and artistic career as valid as any other.
