Suddenly I want to start exercising. And then when it is a good time suddenly I don't have the motivation anymore, so I have to force myself to do it.

    Wadup? Love all the vids. We have a biogas plant in Germany that works by the same principle, digesting the pig poo from ours and neighbouring farms. By the time it has fully fermented over about 150 days there is basically nothing left but water and minerals that then get spread back on the fields as fertiliser. All the energy in the poo that would otherwise have evaporated into the atmosphere is converted into methane and used to drive stationary truck engines that are coupled to generators that feed into the national grid. The heat produced by the engines heats the pig barn and the neighbourhood. In a year this saves the equivalent of about 1.7 million litres of heating oil. The technology is still too expensive to make bg plants self sustaining but vids like this will get more people thinking about how to make the whole process simpler and more efficient. Good on ya.

    Hey Cody, I'm no chemist but I do brew beer and I have a question. Would co2 effect the process? It is heavier than air and would displace the oxygen out of your container. Helping along the process or do you need the bacteria to work in 2 stages one where it uses the oxygen and then stage 2 the anaerobic cycle where it needs the lack of oxygen? Talk to some guys that brew beer if you need anything for us it's all about the bacteria. Cheers keep making great videos.

    • @hceercs8246
      @hceercs8246 Před 7 lety +10

      Another major point of concern for those rabbits is they need plenty of time *outside* of that cage in order to be healthy.
      they're rodents sure, but rabbits are extremely active and have those powerful legs for a reason. You won't end up with a happy bunny if they don't get several hours out of the cage a day.

    • @somebodyuused2kno560
      @somebodyuused2kno560 Před 7 lety +18

    • @hceercs8246
      @hceercs8246 Před 7 lety +30

      The issue with making assumptions like that is there are far more people who have rabbits that *don't* know how to take care of them than there are who *do*.
      I'm not saying Cody doesn't know what he's doing, I fully trust he does, but I'd really like some form of confirmation since far too many times I've seen rabbits not get taken care of properly.

      TerrahBite I dont know whether you've watched the video but outside it's nearing a foot of snow. That's not rabbit weather. Im sure they do get time outside but I should imagine less so in the current conditions. And as for the mesh floor, rabbit natuarally live in cold rough burrows and cross rough terrain regularly. A fine mesh floor with gaps smaller than their feet will not hurt them whatsoever. I feel you think that since they're small and fluffy they aren't hardy and that's simply not the case.

      Drew Black, your comment is ironic, considering The U.S. Has (officially) Been At War, for over 90% of its existence. American historian Christopher Kelly and British historian Stuart Laycock are the authors of “America Invades: How We’ve Invaded Or Been Militarily Involved With Almost Every Country on Earth.” They define “invasion” as “an armed attack or intervention in a country by American forces.” There are only three countries the all-mighty-usa has yet to invade.

On that scale it is -31 but on the other I think it would be 0

      !00 F=~38 C vs 50 C 12 degree error in Celsius is substantial.
      but 100-30/2 is 35 only 3 degrees (C) off.
      If they set their Cesius thermostat to 50 they will cook the poo and likely kill the bacteria they want.
      As values (of F) get closer to zero the estimate gets more accurate.

    A digester works best between 90 and 105 F, and the bigger the better. If the temp is too low it will not work, if too hot it will kill the anaerobic bacteria. The other thing is that it needs to be a process that keeps oxygen out, and the resultant gasses are methane and CO2, then the material that is used up can be used for fertilizer in the garden. Also it is best to have a small heater, agatator, and pressure relief set at 2 to 15 psi but less than half the pressure that the container is rated for.
