    Man United have far more fans than other clubs, including Liverpool, and more attention from the media. That has always been the case since the 60's.
    In the 80's we were disliked by everybody for those reasons. Ever since the early 90's we are detested because we're popular AND very successful on the pitch.

    United would never buy the league like that. They grow and nurture talent. Look at Cantona, Schmeichel, Le Blanc, Van Nistelrooy, Stam, Keane, Veron, Ferdinand, Evra, Sherringham, Cole, Yorke .... the list of homegrown Mancunian talent is simply endless.

    Everyone seems to forget they took the piss out of us when we got relegated in 2006 after the 0-0. This was more than deserved in my opinion. Not to mention how 3,000 of us chanted Welbeck's name when they beat us 1-0 in 2011 and none of them did. Fantastic club, shit fans.

    It's been said time and time again, but here's another. I abseloutely love Sunderland fans for this, sticking it to the rags while we were a bit too occupied. I was there on that fateful day we won the league, and I think I must have gone through every single emotion going in the space of five minutes. Every single club respects us for what we did, and it shows. Newcastle away was the exact same.
    Love City, Hate United.

    I don't rant about clubs "buying success" and not many other United fans I know do....
    Man United fans aren't more arrogant than Liverpool fans were in the 70's/80s. I don't know why you're saying they are....
    Man Utd are hated more than Liverpool were because we have far more fans than they ever have and we've always been more popular with the media.

  • @WolfgangVonPoserkila
    @WolfgangVonPoserkila Před 12 lety

    No, no, no you really don't get it...
    Man United have since the 50's had more fans than any other club. We won 3 trophies between 1969 and 1989 and still had more fans than Liverpool who won everything between those years and when we were in the 2nd division in 1975 we had bigger attendances than any first division club...
    If you really think attendances at Old Trafford would plummet if we started winning nothing, you are a sad and strange little man...

    You don't know what you're talking about. I'm talking about the attitude of non Man Utd fans toward Man Utd throughout history not just since 1993.
    Ferguson started off at united by gelling the team around young stars that blossomed into world class players like Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Butt, Gary Neville etc.

    Robson...Wilkins....Jordan.....McQueen...etc....etc...etc United have spend very vrey big for years. What reds don't like is someone else doing it and PROVING that all it takes is money to compete. All the times we've played the reds with teams costing a tenth of the cost of theirs. Now we can compete financially-they cannot take it. To hear a red bleat about City spending money is just the funniest thing ever. YOU COULD NOT MAKE IT UP.

    The loudest cheer at 1:49 coincides with the Norwich win being flashed on the board, a result which pushed the mackems further down the table into 13th. But thats them all over, too busy obsessing over other teams to notice their own downfall.

  • @Geokinkladze

    The revenue was £25m up on the previous year and will be up even further once the stadium sponsorship deal and the champions league revenue is included. The wages included over £30m right offs of previous signings. So in short revenue is on the way up, wages are on the way down. You might also like to know about the plans to expand the stadium are already underway... revenue from this will count in FFP but the costs will not. City ARE taking it seriously.

    Never. They would never stoop so low. They never "buy" players, they simply "rejuvenate" their squad every season. Big difference. That's why they bought a 27 year old Ashley Young. He's got a good... hmm, 2, maybe 3 seasons ahead of him. Go for youth, and nurture the talent. That's the United way.

  • @Geokinkladze
    @Geokinkladze Před 12 lety

    They have already "kicked in" last time I checked. We still have a great squad that is nowhere near past it's peak and the simple way around ffp is to up your income. This is easy if you have an owner who is willing to pour money INTO the club rather than drain it away. But don't take my word for it.. guess who recently said this "There’s no chance of that calming down and I don’t see how the financial fair play can work".
