  • This week, watch as Mark Cole and Will Stubbs cover how to use the GPS Hold function on the Garmin GTN 650 and G3X Touch in the Sling TSi. The team shows how to hold over the Queen Mary in the Long Beach harbor as an example of how to hold over any Airport, VOR, or visual waypoint. The team intercepts, and does a couple circuits, of the hold to demonstrate how to correct for wind in order to keep the inbound leg 1 minute long. How would this work if the G3X screen failed and you just had, say, the G5?

There is no reason to hand fly a hold when you have a G3X, GPS and a fully functional auto pilot. 🤦🏻‍♂️
