As a Muslim, I agree with Jessy and Kathy. Giving is a fundamental part of Islam, Allah says giving will never decrease your wealth but it will increase it very much. God promises, no one will be poor by giving. Give and you will receive. In addition, what you give will act like a wall of protection for you from evil in this world and you will have a long prosperous life. That is a promise from Allah.
