I tried this with 5v 1.5A charger and it worked well.it heated up within 3 minute and soldered well

It will not work more than 3 to 4 days
bcoz the pencil lead is made up of Graphite, by passing electric current through it, it will be Oxidized and then lead will be broken.

Bro decrease the distance between these wires, it will start heating
Its not the electricity that causes it to oxidize. Its the heat. At the temperature needed to be used as a soldering iron, youre basically burning the graphite.
@@joemann7971 But graphite is heating due to the electricity and at an Overcharge Graphite becomes weaken and easily get in Contact with the atmospheric Oxygen and get Oxidized. With such an Oxidization Graphite lead broke into pieces.
@@DJ-dy3ug thats true but the electricity itself isn't causing the damage directly. Graphite and carbon resistors are more or less the same thing. But if you get a 1 watt resistor and run 10 watts of power through it, you'll end up with a similar situation.
What he's doing in this video is basically making a DYI resistor from graphite
and overheating the crap out of it to make it melt solder.

We can do this with separate tick graphite pencil lid and with a hard case , as wood can conduct heat. And keep the gap distance more on the lid ....

I have 2 questions..
1st question is, does the type of pencil used matter?
And the 2nd question is, do you HAVE to cut the extra wires off from the charger when u tied them together with the copper wires from the pencil tip?
Nataraj pencil, because the quality of graphite lead used in it works better. Cutting short length of the wire is your choice.
