It is quite something seeing well over 5000 seals in one place (as is the smell), but what an unexpected site. The reason the seals are very skittish is that they are attacked from the land by Brown Hyenas and black backed Jackals. But all in all a great site to see off the fertile fishing grounds of Namibia's Skeleton Coast.

Our latest Video on CZcams featuring those "Namibia Seals" on the Skeleton Coast.
A spectacular site to see 1000's and 1000's of these mammals ghrouped together on Namibia's Skeleton Coast.
The footage is a bit jumpy, sorry about that :( for some reason I has selected video stabilizer off and only realized to late.

+Matthew Gorges Hi and sorry for the delay in the reply :(
Yes these seals do attract the Great Whites, but the sharks seemingly do not hunt the seals close to the beach like they do Cape Town. The Great Whites "seemingly" hunt a little further out as the seals have to travel a fair distance to get to the areas were the fish are found. But on saying that I have read articles that say the waters are infested with sharks.
Cheers and have a great day.
