I have missoni wave and lattafa khamrah, both about 30 euros, and I have no regrets buying either, everyone seems to love khamrah to the point where I’ve ordered bottles for other people
with all due respect to him - Khamrah is an awesome fragrance.
He said MB Legend is a good pick-up. Iv'e got that one and its a failure on every level as far as I'm concerned.
In fact I'm probably done with MB fragrances....they just so underwhelming.
Some people on Reddit told me Khamrah was never initially supposed to be a clone of Angels Share but rather Dates Delight by House of Oud. The fact that you were pretty much the only CZcamsr to make the distinction that it didn’t even seem like a clone really shows your integrity. Many others just regurgitate what they see online without doing any practical research.
Most people in the community share the same opinion that Khamrah is not a like for like clone of Angels share.

Hot take here: I like Tres nuit more than GIT for the price point. The biggest difference I noticed was with the opening. GIT goes heavy into the green meadow/almost fresh cut green veggie smell, whereas tres nuit goes almost instantly into the Iris & violet smell. I personally love both, but my favorite part is the dry down with the powdery iris and ambergris. To my nose Tres nuit accomplishes that pretty well for the price point. Obviously the original is much more smooth and is elegant in the way it transitions through the dry down, but for the price point I’d take Tres nuit all day.
It's not a hot take, I agree with you. If anything, Omar was giving us his hot takes. Tres Nuit and Missoni Wave are truly great fragrances.
Omar, I truly enjoy and learn so much from your videos. I especially like your daily “shorts”, as they are easily digestible and chalk full of advice. I agree with Mont Blanc Legend EDT which smells more loud and sweet, but the EDP version smells more well rounded and I thoroughly enjoy it
I have Cool Water EDT. This is something, that I used to wear a lot in the end of last spring period. A Calone-Evernyl bomb that lasts 4 h on my skin. However, this is something that has written the history. I appreciate this. It still smells pleasant.

even if you don't like Legend EDT, the Fierce DNA is loved by women if that's what you're going for. the Legend EDP is like Mont Blanc's sweeter oakmossier take on Fierce that tries to improve on a perfect thing and only messes it up.
Rasasi hawas is its own fragrance. I don’t get how people compare it to Invictus aqua when it came out before that. And it’s way better anyways.
Interesting takes. I agree with Tres Nuit I’m about to get rid of it myself. I much prefer Royal Crown Rain and Floris JF as alternatives. BR540 is cheaply made so I don’t get all the talk of quality difference between its clones and the fragrance itself. Didn’t Sam Macer do a video showing how cheaply BR540 can be reproduced? Funny you said Mont Blanc Legend is forgettable but it is one of the most complimented fragrances in my collection. The DNA hits with women who remember the mall smelling of Fierce. I bought it after smelling it on my uncle. I still notice it on people when I’m out. Fragrance is subjective though.
It's forgettable if you are into fragrance. Almost every fragrance smells good and can give you compliments. What really matters is whose nose gives the compliment.

I really like the Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu also. There’s definitely a difference between the two. Amber Oud has more of the menthol and deeper vanilla and superior in performance.

Not a single clone comes close to Bacarat Rouge 540. They might be able to copy the smell, but they can never copy the luxury vibe.

Among the heavy hitters, i did not enjoy Missoni Wave but i liked Tres Nuit. I would listen to your view about a fragrance for sure. Wave was hyped so much and it just feels synthetic af and by the time it becomes nicer, it almost fades away.
Tres Nuit is also synthetic but it lasts longer on me and it becomes much nicer in about 10 mins.
I would probably prefer Aaron Terence Hughes Guapo instead of Percival, its a bit better versio nof it i think, they are similar but Guapo performs and projects better to me..
i just tried finding Percival at discounters and i lowest i could find was around 150 eur for 75 ml, while guapo is ~120 eur for 50 ml, so they are somewhat same in price the only downside is if you are outside UK its very hard to get it... people from USA and Canada might have a shot at finding it but anyone else... its rough at the moment..

I definitely agree on the tres nuit. I just purchased that and was disappointed with that on my skin. It opened up as pure bubblegum and basically just stayed there. I will let it sit for a while and see if it changes. That being said, ive had a great experience with clones. Assad is a good example. I think that is better than sauvage elixir as i dont like the anise smell in that and Assad does it differently.
Missoni wave was one of the first fragrances I bought for myself and it was more so a curiosity that I bought it. I wasn't aware of what notes I enjoyed at the time, or what type of fragrances I liked as I was younger. At the time I liked it, but it's grown to be too cloying for me 90% of the time. It does give a synthetic impression of the ocean, and it's not bad for the price point.
Cdn sillage is a bad clone that gets lots of praise for some reason. Chemical lemon harshness and the musk smells like laundry sheets. It does project more and last longer than smw, but that's all it's got going for it

To me onyx doesn’t smell anything like oud. Same a hard candy, I think he adds it to smooth things out

Armaf Craze is a clone for PDM Pegasus and I would definitely not recommend it. It has a harsh opening and it has a lowkey gasoline/earthy vibe which completely puts me off. Pegasus is 🔥

Can you do a video on conifer fragrances? I blind bought Ted Baker M for a tenner and I can't get over the fact I have nothing else like it. I've smelled some pine scents and was really put off. But the fir in M really works.
I'd be interested in discovering more conifer and evergreen scents that give off a winter forest vibe.

Hey Omar, thank you for putting quality content out there. It seems that you made the distinction of quality of ingredients specially when comparing clones with the actual fragrances. However, don't you think it's the whole point that these companies are trying to re-create a similar smelling perfume for cheap (of course by using cheaper ingredients). Now it begs a question, what clones do you think matches the originals or even come close to their quality? (I think it'll make a cool video to balance this perspective) Thanks!

Not everybody can afford niche fragrances so clones have their place and obviously they're not going to smell as expensive as niche fragrances but for the price you can't be dissing clones...

I agree with GIT vs Armaf Tres Nuit, but why not have both ? So you don't finish the OG so fast you have to re buy it again (it ain't that cheap).
2:50 Missoni Wave is not a clone of Versace Pour Homme which you might call a "clone" of Chanel Allure Homme Sport. Missoni wave is not going with the woody, hint of oud and ambery notes that Versace went for in exchange of the supreme vanilla creamyness in the Chanel. Missoni Wave is commited to doing the Chanel Allure Homme Sport thing and it is doing it very well. It really depends on what price you can get these fragrances for, Chanel isnt easy to get at a discount where as something like Missoni, WHEN it is available, is available at a discount for a fraction of the price of what you'd pay for Chanels AHS.

Khamrah is in the same category as Hawas as an inspired by fragrance doing its own thing really well.
I would inclined to support team Michella but missoni wave is not on my wishlists, I'd probably try thise Alpine Sport to get a dose of Chanel
First about khamrah it was meant to be an angel share clones but it has a twist which makes it amazing for the price point and it does actually perform really really well some even prefer it to angels share and tho u should take into consideration the price point of the original compared to the clone which u dont seem to do in here but respectable tho most of the time the original gonna be better but when u have the DNA and sometimes even better performance more or less for 10 th the price it does make u considerate unless ur a collectionner
I think his point wasn't that it's a bad fragrance, but it's a bad clone. It smells good but it's not very close to Angels Share. If it was in a different bottle, people probably wouldn't have even linked the two

Trillium by Paris Corner is a great alternative to Zion. It is half the price of Zion and smells better. I haven't tried it but hear great things about the woods company's Dusk as a great clone of Layton.

We, the proud owners of CDN Untold and Iconic, do not share his views. Those are 2 of the best fragrances you can buy when factoring price point, performance, presentation and scent. Iconic is a compliment magnet and it out-scents BDC. Untold is just beautiful, sparkly and a monstrous performer. Add those 2 to your collection, and if you can afford the OG's, especially BR540, then add that too.

I mean OG will always be better than their clones. Hence, wayyyy higher price with better ingredients quality and the clones are left to guess the OGs complete recipe.

I think ATH is one of the only houses that doesn’t have any of his frags as clones.
Khamrah is not an Angels´ Share clone, it´s is a great perfume in it´s own way. Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel is Lattafa´s Angels´ Share clone. Please do better research before you call anything a bad clone, that isn´t even meant to be a clone, no matter how similar the bottle looks. Just look at the color difference of the juice, they could have made it yellow, if they wanted to, like they did with Kismet Angel.
So having the Khamrah bottle look suspiciously close to the original and the juice smell about 80% similar does not qualify being a clone? Sure bro

So I have for you gents a real, a "perfect" "clone" of Aventus. Perfect in quotation marks, because what Aventus is depends a lot on who you ask and what batch you refer to. I wouldnt say it is a clone, as the notes are technically very different, yet it smells JUST LIKE Aventus. So it isnt like Mont Blanc Explorer, which is an "Aventus-like" type of fragrance. The fragrance I am talking about is called "Morning Chess" by Vilhelm Parfumerie. From the note breakdown you wouldnt be able to tell this smells exactly like Aventus, but if you know anything by now, you know the note breakdown doesnt tell you the whole story or much at all. This is a well balanced Aventus, fresh and smokey pineapple with a very slight green tinge towards the heart.

I bought missoni wave in september for pretty cheap and I ended up giving it to a friend who liked it.
I wasnt much a fan of the drydown.
Loved the VPH style opening. Which i ran out of so i picked up missoni. The drydown is ok but it smells undecided to me. It neeeds either more woods or more vanilla. It just smelled weak.
I remember when I first heard about the fragrance everyone said it was the best of both between VPH and AHS.

Try Leather Intense. It's their version of Dior Homme Parfum. I actually prefer Leather Intense bc it is smoother and more wearable.
Also Fire of God which is their version of the popular God of Fire. Both are good quality, project nicely and last about 8+ hrs. Both are blind buy worthy.
I tried 2 other decants and these 2 did not project or last long at all. They were Work Hard Stay Humble and Isola D'santorini. Good luck on your journey!
This video is basically his hot takes on these clones. Tres Nuit, Missoni Wave are excellent. Very little to complain about.
He's basically being a snob and justifying why he spent £300 on GIT. I mean sure GIT may be slightly better quality but Tres Nuit is pretty damn good, quality is top notch for the price! As is Missoni Wave which is not harsh or soapy at all. I think it's as good as VPH. In fact it is a hybrid of VPH and CAHS.
He's just trying to shit on these fragrances for the sake of it.
I'd MUCH rather spend £20 on Tres Nuit which is 90-95% close to GIT in closeness and quality, than splash out £300 on GIT. And we all know the performance on Creed fragrance of late. It's trash!

Armaf Milestone is another horrible one. I threw a bottle of it in the trash. Within 20 minutes it smells sour and rotten on skin. Very very cheap alternative.

How about encouraging people to buy fewer but better fragrances, and not have shelves full of fakes, frauds and dupes.
If you have the money buy the original ones hands down. If you don't want to spend a ton of money buy the clones. Yes quality is not the same but trust me people won't notice the difference between a good clone and the real thing.

Difficult making comparison like this. The reason people buy these clones is unnecessarily (designer or niche) high prices for performance of the original perfume which makes the "clones" worth it for many to whom cost matter. Most of the clones mentioned here are by far worth the price, in my opinion, having owned many of the originals and tried the clones. 95% of the population smelling these would compliment those clones as much they would for the originals (which honestly hardly get as complimented as the wearer would anticipate). Good video nonetheless.
You are correct, however, compliments are not an important factor once you get to $200+ fragrances. You can buy a $30 fragrance if you want compliments. The $200 ones are for the people who really enjoy their fragrances themselves and are not necessarily wearing them for others. And if that's the case, cheap fragrances just get boring fast, while the niche versions have more depth and complexity to enjoy
Versace Pour Homme is SUPERRRRRR OVERRATED. It smells like deodorant.

Here's one for you: I got FW Legion, clone of PdM Oajan, and on first sniff it was just a cinnamon bomb. No apple pie at all. I'll let it macerate, but very disappointed at first sniff.
