    He is a head of legal in remediation and he doesn’t even know how many other heads of legal in his own unit, today. How can he be qualified for this job?

      He certainly went for the jugular. The witness was shuffling in his seat, nervously laughing and had to have questions constantly repeated because he didn't understand them - And he is supposed to be Head of Legal for Dispute Resolution & Brand. God knows what the rest are like if he is the top guy.

      Jason Beer KC is a deputy judge, a Recorder, an award winning barrister and has written the definitive guide to running Inquiries. In short among all these impressive barristers he is the best. He also says his byword is to be kind.

    Rodric is a typical example of the incompitent team post office have on management, Instead of making the poor post masters and families wait any longer for compensation why not just put them all in the cells where hopefully the post masters have been relised from, and start by giving all the bonuses these idiots received to said post masters, get the compensation worked out now, at least they deserve something and some respect,

    His insistence that he be provided and work from the massive files as opposed to all of the other witnesses which worked smoothly from the document being pulled up and conveniently put on the screen in front of them!!!!!!!!!!!! makes me crazy. His confusion and paper shuffling was almost unbearable. Mr. Beer's ability to maintain composure is nothing less than remarkable. Jason Beer is finally the hero these poor people have needed and deserved for so very long indeed.

    I watched most of the evidence given by this witness. He is, apparently, 'Current Head of Legal for Dispute Resolution & Brand'. All I can say is if he is the best that can be found for the job then no wonder the Post Office is in the mess it is. Several times under questioning he had to have questions repeated to him, failed to understand questions, had difficulty finding the relevant documents in the numerous folders he had with him and generally didn't seem to know what he was doing. At times uncomfortably shifting around in his seat and occasionally laughing nervously. The guy questioning him seemed to be getting a little annoyed at the witness. Some of the things he had said in the emails he was presented with that he had sent showed him in a very poor light. He came across as totally unprofessional and seemed to have a very poor attitude towards the Sub Postmasters. And anyone he came into contact with via email who was trying to stick up for the SP's were 'bluffers' or 'making mischief'. How he remains in post is a mystery.

    He seems to conveniently forget the problematic emails but remembers those in detail that are not problematic. How likely is it that he didn't see the email sent from bond Dickinson? Did he routinely ignore emails from his legal advisors? Or is he simply taking a line to avoid having to admit he did read it and agreed with it?

    If someone told the Post Office that the Horizon software is flawless that would be statistically impossible. All these people are familiar with apps and computers, everyone knows that software is constantly being upgraded and replaced. The media has been filled with stories about hacking and computer glitches, for the last 20 years, at least.

    Rodric is a New Zealander. Why does he say certain words in an American accent 🤔 Aside from that he is making himself look super incompetent by playing stupid.

    • @judithmatthews8460
      @judithmatthews8460 Před měsícem +3

      No New Zealander would be proud of this display of the sloping shoulder of responsibility. The lack of shame, contrition or even acknowledgement that he wilfully allowed sub postmasters to be sent to prison while he had knowledge of faults in the system that could have saved them. The giggling and shoulder shrugging are so totally inappropriate

    • @CeravvvEgan
      @CeravvvEgan Před měsícem

      @@judithmatthews8460 I still don’t understand his accent. Is he one of those people who live in US for a year and come out with an accent? It’s not a Southland rolling R, it sounds American. But he’s from NZ and has lived in UK for many years so it makes no sense.
      There are plenty of New Zealanders who do the same for money and positions of power. Anyone from any nationality can be greedy, sly and uncaring.

      This is butt covering at its finest. He's saying that Post Masters were cherished? While they were being prosecuted and sent to jail and none of their claims were even warranted by the PO? That's being cherished? Yeah right!
