One of the most significant risks to GMO crops, which poses a serious threat to global and national security, is the potential for unintended genetic contamination. Whether deliberate sabotage by malicious actors or accidental cross-pollination, there is a real possibility that foreign DNA fragments from unrelated plants or species could integrate into GMO crops, altering their genetic makeup. This scenario could lead to widespread contamination, as these modified genes spread throughout the crop's population.
For instance, imagine if a genetic fragment from a common grass were to unintentionally integrate into genetically modified tomatoes. Over time, through natural pollination, this grass DNA could spread to tomatoes worldwide, effectively becoming part of the genetic code of all tomatoes. If a disease were to emerge that specifically targets this grass DNA, it could devastate tomato crops globally, posing a severe threat to food security.
This scenario is analogous to shipping software with a hidden vulnerability or backdoor. Once introduced, this vulnerability can propagate across systems, potentially allowing malicious actors to exploit it at a later time.
The consequences of such genetic contamination could be catastrophic for agriculture and food production worldwide.
    Godspeed.

And what if this new tomato that will help them 'meet their needs' also contains the terminator gene and that spreads to the heirloom tomato plants?

      Girl, you already know.
What does deduction leave to believe that all this effort goes into just having one purple tomato horse in the race, they want to own the track.😊

I wonder what’s wrong with the Blueberry or Blackberry, I prefer them as they are.

Purple sweet potato is the best source for consumption.
Take portion size of standard use vs amount of pigmentation of the food.
You will eat more Purple Sweet-potato than Blueberry or Blackberry.

I love both those fruits, though.
I just ate some Dew Berries.
They just spent the last year scratching my legs up, you bet I am going to eat every berry I can get off of them.

I remember when Indigo Rose tomatoes first came out back in the late 90s when I was studying horticulture. So I was looking at this gmo tomato as a frog in the pot that gets warmed up. Tithe frog dies. Get us used to gmo fruit. It's always about money!

What about most plants we eat these days?? Most were not even edible, until man changed it's original design. I realize this is a bit different, but still the same. Most things we eat, we would never Even touch before.

Hybridization and cross breeding are quite different than GMO.

You're missing my point. Most of these plants were never edible till they were hybridized.

Main difference is money. Patents for gmo. Can’t patent nature. Its all about money. Oh and trying to destroy our health so we depend on big pharma. That too.
