I dont know but, for us exols we really know that Kai have that kind of charisma in stage and his moves were sharp and always making the choreo look easier which is not and whatsoever.. But when everybody notice it and not from our fandom, it was like 'wow really?? Kai has that effects on you too' because its common for us exols that Kai is that kind of a dancer. Kai is definitely darker than the other guys. I know you had said something before about how they sometimes look really white washed, but it's a social class thing to some. It is still pretty common that darker skin in South Korea is looked at as low class as it suggests having a laborer job where you're in the sun a lot. It's why you see guys wear shirts even when swimming or doing other things you'd typically think of them taking their shirt off for. It does make for some amazing sunscreen products, if you want to look for a silver lining.
I don't think it's inherently wrong to want look paler, if that's someone's personal preference. It's their body and they can do what they want! As a westerner I think it's kinda dumb to judge their culture and how they do stuff too even if it's something I don't agree on. What I don't really agree with is when fans edit pics !! I find it kinda sad that fans even feel the need to edit the pics so much in the first place.
Sorry if it sounded like I was trashing the guys themselves for it, that wasn't what I intended. I think they can do what they want, I just think the societal reason is outdated. I heard about it mostly from my cousin who is half Korean, looks 100% Korean (I'm white AF, red hair, so people in high school thought we made up being related), and was able to tan really dark. She moved here when she was 8 after my uncle retired from the military, moved back to SK in her 20's for a few years to teach gymnastics, and got treated absolutely horrible for her skin tone, which led to her leaving because she said her career was dead before she could even show her ability.
Nah I didn't think that at all and I completely agree with you. That's really horrible what happened to your cousin :( it's horrible being judged for the way you look, full stop! The beauty standards in Korea can be pretty ridiculous and I guess this is just part of it. What I meant was that it's ok if people want to look paler if it's a personal preference and we shouldn't really take offence when they do it themselves. It's interesting as well as I find that they appreciate darker skin from other races but not their own. When I was in Korea I was constantly told I was pretty and had a nice and healthy skin colour!

First there was and only will ever be one MJ. Chen has definitely mastered a couple of his trademark vocals. While Jongin is IMHO a born dancer, his natural ability has been enhanced by dance training. What you see in both Jimin and Jongin is what all really good dancers learn to do which is use their entire body to convey the story and emotions of the dance they’re doing. As far as his showing skin/his nipples, really dislike the word titties, I’m sure you know that SM decides on what each member will wear. Jongin was asked about the crop tops and showing so much skin and he said he wished all the members had to wear them. If you watch some behind the scenes or the mugí box you’ll see that Kai is to Jongin what Sasha Fierce is to Beyoncé. Jongin is very quiet and shy, while Kai is well Kai.

his plastic is very noticeable in the eve dance, there the clothes do not interfere with seeing all his plastic, if you compare the rest of him like waves of melody run all over his body, he makes more complementary movements than others, this is very noticeable when comparing Kai and Sehun before jumping in dance. looking at him i can say he is the soul of the melody.

Sorry if it sounded like I was trashing the guys themselves for it, that wasn't what I intended. I think they can do what they want, I just think the societal reason is outdated. I heard about it mostly from my cousin who is half Korean, looks 100% Korean (I'm white AF, red hair, so people in high school thought we made up being related), and was able to tan really dark. She moved here when she was 8 after my uncle retired from the military, moved back to SK in her 20's for a few years to teach gymnastics, and got treated absolutely horrible for her skin tone, which led to her leaving because she said her career was dead before she could even show her ability.
Nah I didn't think that at all and I completely agree with you. That's really horrible what happened to your cousin :( it's horrible being judged for the way you look, full stop! The beauty standards in Korea can be pretty ridiculous and I guess this is just part of it. What I meant was that it's ok if people want to look paler if it's a personal preference and we shouldn't really take offence when they do it themselves. It's interesting as well as I find that they appreciate darker skin from other races but not their own. When I was in Korea I was constantly told I was pretty and had a nice and healthy skin colour!

First there was and only will ever be one MJ. Chen has definitely mastered a couple of his trademark vocals. While Jongin is IMHO a born dancer, his natural ability has been enhanced by dance training. What you see in both Jimin and Jongin is what all really good dancers learn to do which is use their entire body to convey the story and emotions of the dance they’re doing. As far as his showing skin/his nipples, really dislike the word titties, I’m sure you know that SM decides on what each member will wear. Jongin was asked about the crop tops and showing so much skin and he said he wished all the members had to wear them. If you watch some behind the scenes or the mugí box you’ll see that Kai is to Jongin what Sasha Fierce is to Beyoncé. Jongin is very quiet and shy, while Kai is well Kai.

He's a very open minded fella and he's probably seen the reaction fans have @ his crop tops ever since he wore those during their concerts and thought about giving us the most, he talked to the stylists about it. He was not forced to wear them.
his plastic is very noticeable in the eve dance, there the clothes do not interfere with seeing all his plastic, if you compare the rest of him like waves of melody run all over his body, he makes more complementary movements than others, this is very noticeable when comparing Kai and Sehun before jumping in dance. looking at him i can say he is the soul of the melody.
