I'm pretty sure this happens with very large projects. I was working on a game until it just wouldn't load properly and i had to switch to turbowarp
I last used TurboWarp a while ago..
These things appear most of the time when i port my game to mobile, and they replace all the sprites
scratch: ur on mobile? nah idgaf break all svg sprites
More importantly, this means that it could find the vector data for the sprite and/or the sprite is missing from the project when it expects it to be there. I see this happening when compiling large projects on turbowarp where some sprites get corrupted to to code glitches, etc.
imagine being picked to be in a McVincient video with your hard-worked game only for it to have the costumes fail to load

@@McVincientI have tried loading my project so many times, the loading took forever and it did not work. NOTHING worked, I didn’t even save a backup of my game. I’m screwed and scared at the same time. Any idea on how to fix this error? If I can’t refresh it and I can’t get a backup because the game is fucking corrupted. Then what the fuck do I do?
@koopa_industries @McVincient is trying to be family friendly, so maybe cut the F-Bombs in your sentence. (by editing)
OTHER SOLUTION: Go try Turbowarp instead (as TurboWarp fix this in a remake.) if you're tired to ask the same question.
IMPORTANT: If you ever want to post to Scratch, post it! If you can't because it's over 300MB, just give them an installation tutorial. (and ask them to run in TurboWarp instead.
finally someone that explained that, i didnt know that for a year and these appeared like 10 times in my scratch lifetime
heres a fun fact.if you get the text tool and select one it will show a custom font.

something like that happened, so a lot of times when I loaded my "Friday Night Funkin" project every time I look at the text font it looks a bit different in the editor but looks normal when you look at the actual project, when I hover over it it seems to fix it.

to me, it usually shows that when I load a extremely large scratch project

it happends if you're project is too big too then save the project to you're files then reupload it
I see them once in a while in thousands of block projects. But the question marks look different
I have a project that crashes ur game and when I open it again it did the *?* symbol
It happens when assets are missing; or corrupted data caused by something that interfered when loading the assets in RAM. Game engines find a way to replace the missing assets. Every game engine has this feature, it's to indicate that something's missing in development or release.
Huh I had that problem too but it can also occur when the SVG can’t store vector information
SVG Error is a cause to due error server or not connected server

this also happens when a scratch project has a lot of sprites or costumes in a sprite and the infection comes.......
i tried to convert a png to svg by changing the name, it resulted in this

happens to me all the time (in the other pc of mine) cause i have VERY laggy internet in my other pc
it happens also because ur computer cant store data,i tried deleting some not needed files and it worked
Hi McVincent, I've noticed that in one of your games "ScratchStation", there's a copyrighted song in one of the clicker games while I was recording the video

Another way to fix SVG Glitch : 1.Install scratch addons 2.Screach "SVG or SV" and can appear you that an adoon that fixs the SVG glitch

What if you deleted the costume and upload the costume again, would it won't appear as the SVG. error?
