Scriptures from 1 Corinthians 14 concerning tongues
”Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.“

2.Which kind of body does Jesus possess now? Is it the one he had while here on earth or did he go back to His Godly body? Since we will be like him when he takes us what type of bodies will we have?

      (1) The weekly Sabbath lasts from Fri. sunset to Sat. sunset. Christ said there are 12 hrs of daylight, not 12 hrs in a day. It is important to recognize the difference. (2) Christ is 100% God again(Rev. 1:14-15). The Bible teaches in 1 Jhn 3:2 that glorified Christians will look exactly as Christ is described in Rev. 1:14-15. This doctrine is emphasized in Heb. 2 where Paul says that man was created to eventually be _greater_ than all the angels.

You should not take verses out of context but include everything in the creation story:
      1) God SAID, "Let there be light" - Gen 1:3 (first day)
      2) God SAID, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." - Gen 1:6 (second day)
      3) God SAID, "Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear" - Gen 1:9 (third day)
      4) God SAID, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth" - Gen 1:11 (also the third day)
      5) God SAID, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, etc" - Gen 1:14 (fourth day)
      6) God SAID, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly ..." - Gen 1:20 (fifth day)
      7) God SAID, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind..." - Gen 1:24 (sixth day)
      8) God SAID, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..." - Gen 1:26 (also the sixth day)
It's not rocket science. God speaks it, then it comes to be. All you have to do is pick up a bible and read it for yourself to see that this is so. But, of course, I can see how you may wish to do away with some scriptures if you think it will help you to discredit one who speaks truth.....

I took some time to review the video again this evening, We agree God formed the animals out of the ground and Adam named (all of)them. You state “the evidence shows:” What evidence? @37:21 {Doug: “you know when God creates all the land animals, he speaks them into existence. God doesn’t have to form them one by one and he doesn’t have to form a million of each he just has to do two. So God forms the animals and then he forms man, he breathes into him the dust of uh of the breath of life and makes him from the dust of the earth”}” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬ says ”And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.“ (Genesis 2:19-20 ”And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.“)

Also in your initial reply you wrote ”But, of course, I can see how you may wish to do away with some scriptures if you think it will help you to discredit one who speaks truth …..” Who are the many?, and What is the rest of your comment? Also, I did not address some of the other comments Doug made about naming the categories of animals, the Bible does not say he named categories of animals or Adam notices that the animals have partners and God wanted him to sense that need” I don’t see that teaching in the Bible, if there is a scripture in the Bible please let me know. ”And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.“ Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I believe in saying what the Bible says and not adding to it ,taking from it or reading into it something that is not there. I’m always looking to learn more from the Bible.

90% of the time, it's probably an illusion. Kinda like how sometimes a stacked pile of clothes, in the dark, can look like a person.
In other cases, it's likely an evil spirit (or demon, however you wish to address it). If so, there's nothing to fear since there is power in the name of Jesus.
Personally I'd say it's very unlikely someone is being pestered by demons, although it is possible, so don't jump to conclusions too quickly

John 19:31 mentions “that Sabbath was a high day.” So, wouldn’t that indicate that Sabbath to be the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was Nisan 15 (Thursday), which places Christs crucifixion on Nisan 14 (Wednesday), which places His resurrection on the weekly Sabbath (Saturday), which fulfills the sign of the prophet Jonah: 3 days & 3 nights in the tomb?

    • @davidstarr6604
      @davidstarr6604 Před 6 měsíci

Keep in mind Mark specifically states Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week (Mark 16:9).
And yes, His crucifixion has to be on a Wednesday. Nowhere is there any indication that a PART of a day (or night) is counted as a FULL day or night:
Night 1 - Wednesday night (a 12 hour period) - His body placed in the tomb - Sunset was the beginning of the High Sabbath (always the day after Passover no matter what day of the week it fell on that year)
Day 1 - Thursday day (also a 12 hour period) - still entombed from sunrise until sunset
Night 2 - Thursday night beginning at sunset, 6th day of the week begins and High Sabbath ends
Day 2 - Friday day - Jesus' followers gathered (and prepared) the traditional herbs required for His burial then rested on the weekly Sabbath when sunset arrived
Night 3 - Friday night and beginning of 7th day Sabbath - Jesus still entombed
      Day 3 - Saturday day
Jesus rose sometime BEFORE sunrise on Sunday. So 3 full days and 3 full nights. It included two Sabbath days and one preparation day (a full 72 hour period).
Remember a new day always began at sunset back then. The Passover meal was actually eaten at night (the beginning of Nissan 15). It was prepared on the 14th. Read Matt 26:17-21 Can read the whole chapter if you wish but those verses are enough. Verses 17-19 are on Nissan 14 verses 20-21 was Nissan 15. Jesus instituted the Communion service, said a few words then went to the Garden of Gethsemane where He was arrested (all that same night). Tried, beaten and mocked by the priests until morning, then taken to Pilate. Tried again and eventually crucified (still on Nissan 15). Died before sunset Wednesday evening, Nissan 15.
You can google the calendar back to the year 31AD and see Nissan 15 fell on a Wednesday that year.
Also may want to consider this:
Would Jesus' followers have been running around gathering and preparing the herbs for His burial while He was STILL on the cross? Yet the scriptures show they got those herbs on a preparation day then rested on the next day because it was the 7th day Sabbath. That, alone, rules out a Good Friday crucifixion.

Thank you @@davidstarr6604 for your response. Very insightful. And thanks for mentioning Mark 16:9… It’s led me to studying several translations of the original Greek, and it appears Mark 16:9 is mistranslated in some translations, but not others. The result of my study of that verse in the original Greek causes a HUGE question mark in regard to the validity of some of our bible translations. If you’re curious to look into it, I’d appreciate your opinion on the apparent mistranslation.

@@vince1800 The phrase "of the week" is the Greek word "sabbaton" in Mark 16:9. It is the same word in Acts 20:7 and specifically means the first [day] of a 7 [day] weekly period. The word "day" is actually a supplied word. Many times in scripture "sabbaton" refers to this 7-day weekly cycle.
Whereas Mark 16:9 specifically mentions the "first" of "sabbaton" (what we call Sunday today), verse 1 is the next day AFTER a "sabbaton". Both refer to Sunday. They did not have names for each of the 7 days of the week back then.
But, of course, there is no indication that "eis ho sabbaton" (first of the [7-day] week) is to be set apart for a day of rest and worship. Whether it is 1) claimed to be in honor of Jesus' resurrection, 2) Paul's journeyings, or 3) a time to gather the offerings before Paul arrives......
The first is what the Papacy claims while admitting at the same time there is no biblical authority for Sunday. And besides, don't they have Easter for the resurrection? Why have a Sunday too?
The last 2 are Protestant straws trying to grasp something, ANYTHING, from scripture that might confirm Sunday as a day of rest. Even if they have to ignore parts of the text to redefine what it says....

@@davidstarr6604 Bible translations that say “first day of the week” in Mark 16:9, is a mistranslation of the Greek. Accurate translations say “first of the Sabbaths.” Which is a reference to the first of the 7 Sabbaths leading up to Pentecost.

Regarding the old and new covenants, the new covenant is written on the hearts of men. The ceremonial laws, or the laws of ordinances, which Moses wrote, involved the sacrificial ceremonies with sheep's, goats, etc., which were placed on the side of the ark of the covenant, were the ones that were nailed to the cross. Collosians 2:14 is referring to that and at the moment of Christ's death, the curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom signifying an end to those ordinances, or laws, since now Christ became that ultimate sacrifice, the Lamb of God. The ten commandments were never abolished. Romans 3:31 supports that as well. So does Rev. 14:12, along with countless other references in the old and new Testaments.

God gave his Law, including the Ten Commandments specifically to the ancient nation of Israel. The Mosaic Law is NOT BINDING on Christians, and even Jewish Christians were “released from the Law.” (Romans 7:6) The Mosaic Law was replaced by “the law of the Christ,” which includes all that Jesus instructed his followers to do. (Galatians 6:2; Matthew 28:19,20)
The Ten Commandments are based on reliable principles that will never go out-of-date. (Psalm 111:7,8)

They say we should keep all but the fourth commandment yet the bible states “if you break one of these commandments you are guilty of breaking all of them” The bible calls it the “LAW” of God because it isn’t 10 separate “laws” it is a singular Law it is the foundation of God’s government each command is a stone in that foundation.

So God made sure that the 7th day be called, Saturday? Because when He became human, He kept the 7th day, Saturday, the Sabbath, NOT Sunday which is the first day according to the Bible.

There are literal days in heaven bro.... You ever hear the phrase "on earth as it is in heaven"? The days of the week was already established before the creation of the earth...so no God didn't make it be called Saturday so that when he became "human" he would go to church...
Sabbath on earth is just "practice" for the REAL "Sabbath" in heaven

The Sabbath Saturday was given to the Hebrews the New Covenant is stated in Colossians 2 verse 14 through 16 we're not supposed to make a religion out of the day of the week as Sabbath in Hebrew means rest..... we rest in Jesus Christ everyday not one day a week.
If you read Hebrews 4 and take it back to the Greek you will see that Sabbath is rest and Jesus Christ became our Passover First Corinthians 5:7 and 8 are Passover is the High Sabbath as we are saved by God's grace not our works so we don't live under the law of Sabbath on Saturday we live under grace...Romans 8.
I was the Seventh Day Adventist for over 30 years of my life and it's a shame that I wasn't taught this until I started reading the Bible and studying with the Shepherd's Chapel CZcams channel which reads chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
I am a Christian now which is what followers of Jesus Christ are denominations mean division God does not want his word divided I don't know how he's going to judge these churches and I just worry about planting seeds of Truth and being a Christian and studying the teachings of Jesus Christ like the parable of Lazarus and the rich man how nobody's lying in a hole in the ground which is absurd to think that we don't have spiritual bodies that they're all at the Great Gulf everyone's in heaven who has died.... they're either on the left side or they're on the right side if they've overcome their on the right where Lazarus is.
Read 1st Thessalonians 4:13 if you don't believe Jesus Christ died for your sins and was in the Tomb 3 days and then rose again you better understand that those who are asleep God took with him they're all in heaven.

In the book of Revelation the Euphrates river isn’t to be taken literally. Remember what was literal in the Old Testament is spiritual and global in the New Testament. Revelation 17:15-16 tell us what the waters are that John saw. They are multitudes of people. So when it says in the book of revelation that the waters of the Euphrates dries up, it’s symbolic for the people following the antichrist. Support for the antichrist will cease as people will realize that it’s not the sabbath keepers that are causing the plagues. It’s the antichrist/papacy.

    • @davidstarr6604
      @davidstarr6604 Před 5 měsíci

It won't matter by then. The waters of the Euphrates drying up is during the 6th of the 7 last plagues. Once the plagues begin every single human being will have already made his/her choice to follow God or the beast. There will be no going back from that. The plagues only fall on those that have the mark of the beast. No more chances of repentance are offered. You can't get yourself "unmarked" once the plagues begin.
Think of it like being in Noah's ark after the Angel closed the door. Noah and his family could not leave (not that they would want to) and those outside could not get that door open to enter. Life went on as normal for 7 more days before the rains came.
Or the 10 plagues on Egypt: Most (if not all) fell ONLY on the Egyptians. God's people (though still living in Egypt) were spared. At the 1st Passover the blood on the door posts warned the destroying angel to not come near this house.....
I agree though, the drying up of the Euphrates River cannot be literal. It dries up to prepare the way of the kings of the east (Rev 16:12). No river, no matter how wide, flooded or deep can stop any army of today from crossing over.

    • @TDMayday
      @TDMayday Před 5 měsíci

@@davidstarr6604 the kings of the east are Jesus and the angels from heaven coming to resurrect the righteous. The waters drying up is symbolic of anyone who has the mark of the beast, they will realize that it wasn’t the sabbath keepers that were causing the plagues, they will dry up in their support to the antichrist.
In the Old Testament this literally happened, media Persia came from the east and traveled to the south. They dried up the waters of the Euphrates and over through Babylon. So what’s literal and local in the Old Testament is spiritual and global in the New Testament.

Yes, Jesus gave the people unfermented grape juice. The grape juice made by God Himself tasted better than any wine or grape juice that any man has ever tasted.
You’re not suggesting that God performed a miracle that resulted in the harm of those with whom He was celebrating, right?

    • @sunnyjohnson992

Grape gathering took place in the fall and several months intervened between grape harvest and Passover time. At Passover, it became the custom for family groups to drink several cups of WINE, which by that time, would be fermented. In celebrating the Passover of 33 C.E., Jesus drank REAL RED WINE during the observance. Only red wine is a suitable symbol of what the cup’s contents represent, that is, Jesus’ shed blood.
When the Scriptures refer to wine, the unfermented juice of the grape is not what is meant. Fermented wine, not grape juice, would burst “old wineskins,” as Jesus said. (Matthew 9:17) And Christ’s enemies charged that he was “given to drinking wine.” That would have been a meaningless accusation if the wine were mere grape juice! (Matthew 11:19)

If you read Genesis 1:29, 30 God gave man and animals a VEGAN DIET. They lived into their 900s.
If you read Genesis 9:3-5, God gave permission to eat animals after the Flood and their life-spans went downhill from there. They were also warned that they would be held responsible for every animal they ate. V.5. Noah lived to be 650.
In heaven/New Earth, there is NO DEATH, and animals will not hurt nor destroy in God's holy mountain. See Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 65:19-25. No one eats and murders animals in heaven.

Typical preaching: Welcome, Worshipers of Jews.
In the beginning the Jewish God did such a thing.
The Book of the Jews tells us that the Jews did such a thing.
Then the Jewish God made a covenant with the Jews.
From the land of the Jews came the king of the Jews, who built the temple of the Jews.
