    What if some of the WMM material aggregates size are more than 37.5 since the max gradation of WMM is 53mm. What is your comments on this?
    And how he can take 70% combined from 22.4mm -4.75mm when he has already sieved by two different sieves?

    Sir nice practical informative explanation video about test.👍but I have qustion in when you said 37.5 mm passing 22.5 mm retained replacing with 22.5 mm retained and 4.75mm passing then in the calculation why fraction (A) 25% considered. any know about this please tell me. 🙏

  • @joy22july

    By using this method graph is not coming properly including density of gsb is coming 2.15 g/cc which is less

    Why should we repeat the test with another 6kg sample? Why can't we use the same specimen and repeat the test by increasing moisture content?

    • @HIGHWAYENGINEERING
      @HIGHWAYENGINEERING  Před rokem +1

      If the soil is crush able we should not repeat by it, if it is not crush able like GSB, WMM do repeat it.

    • @arshadmrash

      @@HIGHWAYENGINEERING how can we know weather a soil is crushable or not?

    • @trongsarkayta
      @trongsarkayta Před 11 měsíci +1

      You can't repeat by same sample because the water you added in the earlier sample must have lost in the form of evaporation during mixing and testing. When you increase the water content in the next test by adding additional water, it will not be accurate in actual water content. So, it is always better to use the new sample for each test for consistency.

    37.5 mm se pass or 22.4 mm pr retain sample ka use kya hua

      @debankurbaruah5728 Před 2 lety

      22.4 retained material doesnt help in compaction, but it's weight is required anyhow. They help in taking loads but proctor density is only about smaller material packing in a volume

    1.Is this same process for Gsb Subgrade and Embankment material ??
    2.the material percentage u had taken its same percentage for all types of material ?
    3.if u alredy know the percentage 70 and 30..
    Then we have do directlya passing the 70 % of retain on 4.75mm...
    30 % of pan.of total weight..
    Is this correct or not ?

    • @HIGHWAYENGINEERING
      @HIGHWAYENGINEERING  Před 3 lety

      Ans. 1 Only For GSB , If Soil ... IS 2720 P 8 criteria Shall applicable
      Ans 2. Material % Depend on Types of Mix
      Ans. 3 Although We Know % , Still we Need to do Sieve Analysis from Specific Sieves ie. 37.5,22.4,4.75

    • @meshanqamar4498
      @meshanqamar4498 Před 2 lety +1

      Sir method D clearly explain 19.5mm passing and 4.75mm retain why we are using 37.5mm sieve sir

    • @HIGHWAYENGINEERING
      @HIGHWAYENGINEERING  Před 2 lety

      The Sample taken for Determine Retain% should be less then size 37.5 mm so we use it.
