    My late Dad & I did this exact rebuild on a '39 Model B over the winter of '66-67. Mowed 4 acres of grass until I married & left the homestead in '71.

    Brother, I more or less Inherited my grandfathers ‘49 AC B when he passed away almost 2 years ago and I’ve been watching and waiting for your videos since then to get a better understanding of the tractor. It didn’t start for a while and I had to take it to a local guy that had an AC collection to fool with it. I appreciate this labor of love so very much and I know you take pride in this beaut now that she’s complete for the most part. Eventually I’ll get mine in show condition like yours, but Thank you again. I can’t express how much I appreciate this.

      Thank you! When I started my project I was searching CZcams and could not find many detailed videos on how to do this. I wasn't going to video this thing. But thought maybe I could add something usefiull here. I really appreciate your comment. One thing I realized this tractor would be done already if I wasn't setting up the camera and editing video all the time. Lol

    ALso to mention- I have seen people putting the gear box together with torque tube and shaft with carter pin etc first and then slide the engine/Clutch end on to the other end later.

    I bought some brake pedals and I see it would be pretty easy to make them work looking at what you have. Looks nice. I have a few attachments and would like to loose the saw, its like a 48" blade, let me know if your interested, have some others but only maybe on those.

    Does it have the foot clutch and hand brake. My father had a 1939, i never could crank start it, but he could easily. At school FFA Shop class, we including me, put a snow plow with heavy tractor front weight on the back of the blade attachment (to counter balance the weight). We used an old side of an oil tank for the blade. It work well.

    • @JPN76
      @JPN76  Před rokem +1

      Sounds like a good idea for a blade. This one has foot clutch and foot brakes. Makes it a little easier.

    Love your videos. They come in handy as I rebuild my own B. Question though: On the steering arm (the arm that goes from the arm on the steering gear to the front), the book shows a spring in the aft end. I assume there should a similar spring and pucks in the front (as the book does not show that). I apparently am missing a lot of parts of this. I have only one spring and one steel cup for both ends. I can make the cups on the lathe, but what about the spring. Any idea where I can get one of the correct size? I think that is going to be a very hard find.

    • @JPN76
