    Very cool dude! I'm doing a "full fix up" on a 2003 rav. Bought it from an old lady with only 85k miles.
    These cars seem awesome.

    i got a 1998 Toyota Rav 4. I have had the car for almost 10 years now. From 182k to 278K. I've done a lot of small repairs such as replacing shocks, radio, brakes, struts, lights, belts, transmissions and the radiator. I'm really can't wait to see how yours comes out.

    Cool videos! One of the first things I did on my '98 was changed the fuel filter. Its right under the air filter box and only costs around $15! Helps with the gas mileage tremendously. Also, your right about the power steering pump. My second one is on its way out...

      Thanks for the tip, I'll have to look into that. I'm really fearing the power steering pump -- it looks buried in the engine bay. That might be the first job I farm out to a mechanic.

      @@TheDrewJohnsonExperience You have to take the passenger side wheel off and replace it from the bottom. Remove the lines and there's two or three bolts mounting it to the block just make sure you get the tension right on the belt when your done.

      Do you guys know if a second gen has a true filter or is it just a strainer on the pump?
      I'm thinking it does not.

    I truly have to ask since you fixed the Rav4 & it's the same model as my familys. But where is the MAP sensor located on this car?? Is it that little square looking piece near the battery? Or somewhere else? The other cars my family have has a MAF sensor instead & i cleaned that with the MAF sensor spray. I thought this had it too but it has a MAP sensor instead & i can't find it...

    How does this vehicle ride? Is it rough/bumpy? Was the before exhaust sound factory? I liked it.

      @TheDrewJohnsonExperience Před 5 lety +2

      TravFDY ✔ The ride isn’t horrendous but it’s not what I’d call smooth either. I’m sure my shocks are past it. The before exhaust was technically factory, but there was a giant hole cut in it.

      Enter your VIN in this website. If you have the LSD it will be listed as one of the fitted options.

      If you happened to luck out and purchase from the first owner, who saved the window sticker, like I did, you'd see all of your options. I bought a 2000 one owner, quicksilver, Special Edition, which came with LSD. I am currently stopping all the oil leaks as well!
