Thank you so much for turning me onto CBC. Those instructions were a little misleading for the top mount but I figured it out. The one with the screw going in backside is for if you are keeping the passenger pegs(there's a thread in back if you look) and the one from the outside is if you are using their bracket. Aha!! Excited for the upmap too since I won't have to trailer it to the dealer for the throttle learn. Now I'm hemming and hawing over the carbon versus titanium can. You like the carbon so far?
Thanks, that’s good intel on the mount. I didn’t catch that. I’ve seen many pictures of the titanium/carbon can and while I think it looks good, I love the carbon can! I’m a sucker for carbon fiber though, especially matte carbon fiber and not the glossy carbon. I can tell you the carbon can looks better in person than on camera. It’s a very high quality piece. I don’t think you could go wrong with the titanium though. It’s still a sexy muffler.

@@uonlyliveonce I removed the cables the first day I bought the bike. They are routed through the frame on the right side of the bike up to the servo. I kept the servo plugged in, just removed the cables from it. Just make sure you safety wire the exhaust valve open. I’ve heard the spring pressure isn’t strong enough to keep the valve closed at the higher RPM, and you will lose top end power.
That video put a smile on my face! I want to go with SC Project for my 2021. It comes in 3 lengths, which one did you choose? It looks like the medium length to me? It’s pretty loud w/db killer removed!
For mine, they didn’t have the option for different lengths, so I’m not sure what size I got. It was surprisingly loud with the DB killer removed! It was glorious!
I removed the cables, but I left the servo plugged in and installed. The ECU doesn’t know any difference if the cables are removed. Once you get a flash, you can then unplug the servo and remove it.
@@colin55594 it’s quite loud! Not as loud as the little shorty pipes that SC Project and others make, but much louder than stock. Your neighbors won’t hate you as long as you aren’t coming or going in the night, and you have to refrain from revving it. I don’t find it too loud. It’s plenty loud enough without being annoying.
@@jerryx2000 I decided riding on the street wasn’t worth the risk anymore. There are only so many times one can get away with hitting blind 35mph corners at 75mph, or tripling the speed limits before something terrible happens. Too much to lose. I’m in the market for a track bike now. Probably a R6 or ZX6.
@@juicer404 no drilling required for mine. I literally tapped it from inside with a rubber hammer. Took a few good whacks, but no drilling required. Not sure about the newer SC Project exhausts or if they changed them on the newer bikes.
@@juicer404 one other thing I was just thinking about, is why would a company make a muffler and then weld in the db killer? The whole purpose of it is to be able to remove it and put it back in. If they didn’t intend on it being removed, why even build it with one? It can’t be for emissions. These pipes come with documentation stating that they are for off road use only. SC Project also makes a version with a catalytic converter that is street legal. Maybe that’s the one with a DB killer that isn’t intended to be removed and welded-in? I can’t say for sure. This is just me speculating.
I haven’t heard one personally, but I’m told the Akrapovic is not very loud. Slightly louder than the stock exhaust. This is significantly louder than that. It isn’t obnoxious, but it is very loud.
I love the V4 Ducati too. They sound good but I agree, the Aprilia sounds better. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a new Panigale V4S but can’t justify the $32k price tag.

Great looking exhaust, sounds great too. Have you fitted the race ECU or got the bike remapped/tuned as will be running rich with slip on.

Any modification to the inlet or exhaust that makes it flow better will increase air flow, so it will be running more lean if anything.

I don’t, I sold it back in the fall. It did burn a little oil, probably 1/2qt between oil changes. Nothing excessive.

Nope…pounded out. Took some force, but it’s press-fitted so it doesn’t rattle or leak when installed.

It is very loud! Louder than I expected. Akrapovič would probably be a bit quieter. The SC Project does sound really good though. I’m happy with it.
Always preferred aprilia’s v4 sound than ducati’s v4 sound but ducati is faster
