    Thank you so much for turning me onto CBC. Those instructions were a little misleading for the top mount but I figured it out. The one with the screw going in backside is for if you are keeping the passenger pegs(there's a thread in back if you look) and the one from the outside is if you are using their bracket. Aha!! Excited for the upmap too since I won't have to trailer it to the dealer for the throttle learn. Now I'm hemming and hawing over the carbon versus titanium can. You like the carbon so far?

    • @cwhitty05
      @cwhitty05  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks, that’s good intel on the mount. I didn’t catch that. I’ve seen many pictures of the titanium/carbon can and while I think it looks good, I love the carbon can! I’m a sucker for carbon fiber though, especially matte carbon fiber and not the glossy carbon. I can tell you the carbon can looks better in person than on camera. It’s a very high quality piece. I don’t think you could go wrong with the titanium though. It’s still a sexy muffler.

    • @cwhitty05
      @cwhitty05  Před 2 lety +1

      @@uonlyliveonce I removed the cables the first day I bought the bike. They are routed through the frame on the right side of the bike up to the servo. I kept the servo plugged in, just removed the cables from it. Just make sure you safety wire the exhaust valve open. I’ve heard the spring pressure isn’t strong enough to keep the valve closed at the higher RPM, and you will lose top end power.

      Any modification to the inlet or exhaust that makes it flow better will increase air flow, so it will be running more lean if anything.

    • @cwhitty05
      @cwhitty05  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@colin55594 it’s quite loud! Not as loud as the little shorty pipes that SC Project and others make, but much louder than stock. Your neighbors won’t hate you as long as you aren’t coming or going in the night, and you have to refrain from revving it. I don’t find it too loud. It’s plenty loud enough without being annoying.

      @@juicer404 one other thing I was just thinking about, is why would a company make a muffler and then weld in the db killer? The whole purpose of it is to be able to remove it and put it back in. If they didn’t intend on it being removed, why even build it with one? It can’t be for emissions. These pipes come with documentation stating that they are for off road use only. SC Project also makes a version with a catalytic converter that is street legal. Maybe that’s the one with a DB killer that isn’t intended to be removed and welded-in? I can’t say for sure. This is just me speculating.
