You don't need to move that cyclic that much. Move small and deliberate - no hunting. And do a clearing turn at a hover before take off - most of all relax .
I've been generally seeing 12-14 gph on mine, and it has a 40 gallon tank, so 2.5 hrs theoretically. I've really only done an hour at a time with it so far though, but it's been about in line with that.
Nothing like having the freedom to drop in or fly in. Makes you feel like a million $! Glad you’re getting comfortable to make these trips.
