Absolutely Beautiful!! Smart, and smart
WOW, Good interview.
Class Lady=authentic and beautiful=would love to see her dance-very beautiful disposition
Living histories like this are wonderful, and this one is quite well done
The Jackie Gleason story is incredible 16:11
The original iconic solo in "Take the A Train" was played by Ray Nance in 1941 after Cootie Williams had left for Benny Goodman in 1940. Cootie Williams repeated parts of this solo when he had returned and of course put his own stamp on it because it was a theme song for the band. Sorry for being a smartass. It is a lovely interview.
Yes, Gleason was in ORCHESTRA WIVES with Glenn Miller.
There was a guy named the Duke of Wellington... And his friends started calling him Duke cuz of the Duke of Wellington
, no, not true...it was because of the way Ellington dressed and was raised.
@@Eastpointe None of you are right, read Duke's autobiography and you'll be surprised to find out where it really came from. Not gonna tell you because it's hell of a read! Can't recommend it enough :)
She reminds me of a cross between Jada Pinkett Smith and Janet Jackson kinda.
I have never heard of Jackie Gleason?
