THE most Italian kitchen table cover in existence.
Yep, I was thinking the same thing my dude
I fitted a 650cc engine into ours, gasflowed all the ports, opened the inlet and fitted a larger carb off a 850 engine.
The driveshafts on the 126 car are longer, so I had to split the diff and fit the 500 shafts.
The car did max 85mph was fairly good at traffic light grandprix`s etc, was a pleasure to drive, used original Fiat 126 wheels
with bigger tyres, harder shock absorbers etc.
I just love the way Mike interacts with people, it works with almost anyone. He hits them with all that enthusiasm. It's very impressive to watch.
It didn't get him a discount though did it?
I thought he said "it's all pannacota" 🤣
That confused me for a bit
pannacoTTa
Ed je najbolji mehaničar u Evropi, a i šire, odličan serijal👍🏆
You working on that car reminded me of Gullivers travels.
Gotta love small cars, where you can carry the transmission across the shop by hand!
Not a single word on how you actually do it^^!!!
Watch and learn, boi, watch and learn
Actually you can fit a 850cc engine in the Fiat 500! They used the same block till the 1st gen Panda. The last version of the 2 cylinder was stronger and had more power, while keeping the same dimensions.
@@huseyinuguralacatli5064 the original panda had 2 versions, one had a 2 cylinder 652cc engine. Not sure about the rest of the first comment tho
@@ZareP1 I don't know thanks
I think a hayabusa engine would fit inside there.
@@muzallisam5068 yes but you have to change gearbox and motorcycle gearboxes are not have reverse gear
That used on the first gen. Panda 30 was a 652cc with 30hp.
The one used on the Panda 45 (45 hp) was a 4 cylinder, water cooled, 903cc.
You almost want to get a perspex cover made over the engine so you can see it .. beautiful.
Has anyone tried Fiat's 900cc Twinair in one of these I wonder?
Don't think they were going for the land speed record? 👌😂
What a lovely little car!
really love Ed with old car....
Pls upload full episode
Great video boys u got more we can watch on the 500
Anyone knows any page or someone that sells this engine and gearbox ? Thank you
It's was golden days when Edd where there in the show
@ Murali Kodavati chicken curry chicken butter
Not watched in ages (since before Ed left, I wasn't keen on the Americanisation of the show and it would seem neither was he) but I must say I've seen a few clips of Ant and he seems to be every bit as likeable, informative and knowledgeable. Can't honestly see the show being any worse of for the swap.
Turned out great
The function of sunroof is very obvious... considering driver's height
Two friends back on the 80s/90s sold a wrecked 126 to a 500 owner for the engine/box swap.
It has long been a sensible way to up the power a tiny bit.
These are wonderful cars, but even with a 650 they are still city cars.
A 2cv or Dyane feels like a lazy Detroit V8 on the open road on comparison to these....
I write as one who adores both Citroën and FIAT twins.
The original 500 is a sublime machine, but only when in its natural habitat. 😊
Car is beautiful
I love you Fiat
Superb
This little car looks like a Barbie Jeep next to Edd.
How To Fit A 600cc Engine Into A Fiat 500:
Step 1: Put it in
👏Mike & Eddie & 500
where did they buy the engine, I am looking for one
Marc van Rooij google pal or eBay
search on google "Pezzi di ricambio fiat 500 anno 19xx" or "Motore per fiat 500 anno 19xx" and you will find something in Italy, then you have them sent to you
They are double or triple the cost now.
Edd your mr magic !
We miss Edd
ed was the best and it still is. WD is dead for me.
Where can I get the engine and gearbox for £1100?
2008 when this episode first aired.
No chance you’ll get it for that now, the modern 500 had only just come out when this was done so the original 500s were worth a fraction of what they are now and I wouldn’t be surprised if parts suppliers have jumped on the bandwagon and hiked prices
In Poland? ...
try in italy
I hope ed is getting money for all this milking
Lol no one is getting money from these videos, thats why there short clips and not the hole episode.
@@Car_and_classic_lover sounds pretty deep
@@Car_and_classic_lover you're new to internet are you?
720P filmed in 144i
1:19 "PERFECTO!"
Even by Mike Brewer standards, that was cringe
Same engine as Fiat 500 , Fiat 126 and Polski Fiat 650ccm
How to make a Fiat 500 look even smaller? Put Ed in the back seat.
Ma ha la cucina in officina?
... è inglese :D
@@michelesestu che c'entra?

@@michelesestu
Ah ecco...........
@@MrPakmor either he has a kitchen in his workshop or his workshop is in his kitchen .. either way that's way too Italian! hahaha
Did he say - Panna cotta?-
Powder coated. If you actually couldn’t tell
Thats NOT a Fiat 600 engine. They where watercooled. What they fitted is a 126 or 126p 652cc engine and gesrbox.
well, they said it was a 600cc engine (which is also wrong), not a fiat 600 engine. Also if you watch the episode the mechanic (forgot his name) later says the motor is 650cc, unlike the info described here
did anyone else read the title as "how to fit a 600cc motorcycle engine into a Fiat 500"?
Maybe a Ducati engine? 🙊
No
You forgot the door pulls.
Haha Mike bought the engine from Chertsey Bolovski 🤣🤣
Uni-Coil Voixxx
is Ed getting paid for this?
In the Matrix Neo downloaded kungfu,
I would download mechanic skills, tuning and fabrication. (oh, and how to invest to be a billionaire too)
well well my neighbour has an Abarth they have been running into the ground
£1400 for an engine and box after all that work. Should of given the guy £2400, Bloody car dealers😄😄
the continuity guy on this needs a kick in the stones ,, this is how you fit windows ,, then the door card ,, hold on that window you just fitted is missing ? almost like the sabb 900 he did ,, lets do the front brakes ,, and now the same on the other side ,,,oh hold on that's the same side again lol
£1400 for an extra 9hp?
You didn't start the engine or took it for a ride, quite disapointed...
Ed wouldn't of been able to fit into it because he's over 6 foot mate
Mike con unos kilos muchos kilos menos jajajajajaj
A 650cc engine is $3500 now
Don't let chyna near it
why are your videos so short and you miss out the end bits, not very professional i don't care who you are we in dorset like proper jobs.
We in Australia are much the same!
Because the new American owners who bought the rights are greedy and want you to buy the DVDs
Neat car except for those ugly stripes. I have a Fiat 600D, a far superior car, and even cuter.
