@@helenhicks6720 the “fly screens “ are a choice accessory.. the mods love them (as well as the lights and mirrors ) the 60s mods would add loads of accessories to the scooters as a way of “peacocking “ … the more you add on though - the more weight you carry and this would slow you down … mod scooters aren’t about speed , it’s just a matter of choice , some Scooterists will tell you “less is best” .. but each to there own , I personally love all types of scooters 👍
@@helenhicks6720 I bought my scooter in 1972 new and then you needed to put accessories (Swag) on to make it look cool so Bubble screen back rack with car head rest tied on top front and back crass bars front rack and 8 mirrors arranged like a peacocks feathers you wore an open face helmet with GP peak Ben Sherman shirt jeans Doc Martin Boots and a Parka or Crombi coat we called ourselves Scooterboys not Mods. I am now a pensioner what happened there ha

When was the Matlock gathering? and when is the next?
Matlock was mid August , I believe they hold it every year- around the same time 👍
