The number 1 con of a cart isn't that it is bulky....it's that it can't be used everywhere. Number 1 pro of a bag is that it CAN be used everywhere. Number 1 pro of a cart is that it saves your back and shoulders from soreness and injuries.

This 71 yr old Floridian appreciates his Zuca compact cart. Holds everything I need, including my boney derrière on occasions.

I use an all terrain stroller as my cart. Already kept it in my van at all times for my nieces and nephew. My bag fits right where the kid usually sits. Has a cover that keeps them dry and plenty of extra storage underneath for towels, disc retrievers, food and drink.

Thanks for your pros and cons of both bags and carts! We take public transport to our courses here in Singapore. If my husband comes, we have a wagon that can hold all our bags, chairs, umbrellas, water bottles, etc. He lugs the wagon on and off the bus. When i go by myself, i just take my bag, a backpack.

Scott. I saw a disc golf collection of articles on EBay. Saw an old page with you on it from long ago.

I got a Rovic RV1D cart. Flat, open courses down here in Louisiana and I didn't want to be bending over and grabbing and replacing discs that are basically at ground height in other carts. It uses my Dynamic Discs Combat Commander bag, so if I don't want to use the cart, everything is already in a normal carry bag. Got it with the seat. The guys kinda laughed at my umbrella at first until a couple of hours later in the summer sun, I noticed three of them huddled in my little pocket of shade out in the middle of the fairway. lol

I use a cart primarily. But it is a small fold down sack barrow with a wooden removable base for my bag. (My husband was amazing in adapting it). L64 pro bag which is discontinued clips to the frame and stays in place. Cost? Nothing compared to a zuca cart :D :D For the travel set up / course not suitable to a cart I have a nappy bag :) Holds 10 discs and accessories. (lip balm, towels, hand sanitizer, nail file, pens, sunscreen, chalk bag , score keeping disc and snacks as well as a drink). Will post a pic on your FB when this video is linked, but it cost a fraction of a disc golf bag, is durable and washable. Yes I do look different to all the amateurs out there on my course. But my back at the age of 57 is able to do a round and not start aching.

  • @alwolschleger7242

For a long time I thought the cart guys were just try-hards trying to look like they were really something. I couldn't fathom why they'd need to carry all those discs and an umbrella and this and that and bla bla blah.
Then last year I messed up my elbow picking up my bag and lost a month of playing. Really, it was already overworked from field work trying to improve my forehand, but what finally did it was picking up the bag from an awkward angle.
So, I reconsidered the cart question and ended up with an EZ Cart. It's easy enough to leave in the car on rough courses, saves my elbow the rest of the time. Yes, a luxury good, but I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford the occasional luxury good, and my elbow's worth it.
