  • The FLLUID 1s have been in Marc Kimball's possession for more than 15 months. I've traveled well over a thousand miles without draining the dual batteries. I thought it would be interesting to see how far I could travel in a single day on the roads and trails of New Hampshire. Can I get through to the end. I Have the Fuell Flluid 1 model and I do approximately 75 miles on both batteries, on fairly flat terrain with an average of level 2 assist.

      That’s great info to know:) thanks for the comment and taking the time to watch the video. Level 2 on flat terrain makes and you can go 75 miles that good distance on the bike. 😄

      @@The_Kimballism_Channel I'm a fairly heavy guy. My wife who only weighs 125 lbs can do 125 miles on both batteries at Level 1 assist on the flat.

    I have a FUEL 1.
    How to know which battery I'm on.
    I see the percentage decreasing but it looks like it's the total of the 2 batteries combined.

    Thinking about buying this bike.
    I can get a '22 model for around 2950€, while normal price here is up to 5500€ but mostly around 4500€.
    I just came back after test riding one, never driven an electric bike before.. was just a short quick ride but i was impressed.
    I am a bigger guy though, so at level 5 with somewhat heavier pedalling i was up to 30kph. (45 is max)
    Only thing i am worrying about is the salesman told me the bike will assist you less and less while draining the battery, already starting from when battery has dropped around 5%?
    Main reasons i want to buy a bike, is so that i can spare my motorcycle commuter, and get in shape a bit more.. i know, then i should buy a non electric bike lol
    Going to think about it for maybe a few days..
    I see that you greatly recommend this bike though, so im going to watch more of your videos ;)

    I tested the range once here in Belguim by draining one battery.Conditions were good.Almost no wind,no rain and an almost flat course.I got 72 kilometers far,so that means a max of 145k. with the two batteries.That's a whole lot less than the 200k Fluidd claimes...

      what level of assist did you use, its very important in this context

    Have a FUELL 1S
    After 1228 miles I had a 28H error meaning I had to replace the torque Sensor . The company honored the two year warranty and sent to the bike shop the necessary component. Its in the shop as of this writing, don’t know if the company will pay for the labor cost. Despite this setback , Its a cool bike . More like a rich man’s toy.

    Great video. I would be interested to see the range and the PAS used to get that range. IE: how long in PAS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I use everything from PAS 1 through 5 on my rides. Thanks

      @The_Kimballism_Channel  Před rokem +2

      Yep I was used all 5 levels in the ride and to be honest mostly 5 on the last 15 miles.. I need to work on that:)

    so, how many amps total was this dual battery setup for 55 miles? Were you on PAS 1 ALL the time or were u on full throttle all the time...lots of factors to consider.

    • @The_Kimballism_Channel
      @The_Kimballism_Channel  Před rokem

      No throttle but half ride I was on 3 assist level and second half used 5. Amps depends on the ride. Flat land much less, down hill 0 and up hill 500 at times… if really wanted to pick the distance I bet o no paved flat I could go 80 miles or more:)

  • @bergmanst
    @bergmanst Před rokem

    What petal assit numbers were you using to get 55 miles at 20% left on your batteries?

    • @The_Kimballism_Channel
      @The_Kimballism_Channel  Před rokem +2

      I mixed it up most of the first battery was at level 2 and 3 but at the mid way through the second battery at level 5… I found it interesting that’s even on 5 it not always using all the watts… down the line it be interesting if I left it in 5 all the way what would the range be?

    • @bergmanst
      @bergmanst Před rokem +1

      I ride my Feul in PAS 5 all the time. 25 to nearly 30 miles on one battery. I use to switch PAS but I find it easier to just leave it in 5 and shilft gears. It's my 2nd bike and I loan it it out to others who don't have a Ebike. All who have ride that bike think it's a lot of fun. I get lots of compliments on it.
