Few years ago, i had surgery. All black staff: doctor, nurses, anesthesiologist. We all smiled and nodded at each other. I felt so relaxed and safe.

I'm a defendant often, so a white guy, and this sketch had me rolling because I know this is such a rarity.
Oooh black law student here and when I met a black girl at my PD internship who worked for the state I gagged in court. We had the most childish grin bc we were too geeked.

As a black male professional who loves black women, I felt a little shot in my heart when they stopped smiling when they saw ole boy 😂😂😂. I work with black women all the time, I sure hope them chocolate morsels don't stop cheering when I walk in 😂😂😂. I love this show, its super funny and I'm down with black girl magic.

Upon watching this for the 2735273rd time, I do want to point out how real it is that Black women have to "professional up" and get back to business... always pressured to prove we belong where we are. That we don't "let our emotions run us". The pressures women face combined with the pressures black people face. So, when we get opportunities like a black lady courtroom, it's nothing short of miraculous and worthy of celebration.

When the bailiff said “ The black lady jury your honor the black lady jury” I died laughing. She said that so perfect with the crying voice. This show is what we have been missing since the Chappelle Show. This show has exceeded

Wasn't going to share this, but got inspired by someone else in the comment section. I got accepted into law school in 2020, and although I might not be fully Black (I'm half), I'm the only part (or fully) African/Black female law student (or lawyer) I know of where I come from. There are probably more of us, but the fact that I don't know a single one personally says a lot. POC in general represent only about 10% in law school in my city.
I didn't even fully realize how much it would mean to others until an older (African) friend of mine told me she had told her Black teenage daughter about it, to show her that we can do this, too. It took me about a year, but I now know how much bigger than me this is. I've had a very tough life, and it's still a struggle, but I never gave up on myself and my dreams. As a fighter, it's just not in me. And because of that, I'm reaching my goals - one by one.
If you're reading this, and you've got things you wanna do in life, and feel yourself wanting to give up: Don't. Keep going, no matter how tough it gets. Because if you never give up, you WILL get there eventually. Trust me. You can do it. I believe in you. Keep going!

(for your patients when you become a nurse.)
Speaking from experience here, I began an alternative med grad school program at 54, after coming back from long time injuries that previously prevented it. Keep yourself healthy and your mind strong and focused (study and stress, keep balanced) and keep going! :)
You and your classmates all have to memorize and learn the same things to get licensed, but your experiences and perspective, that's Your Medicine that no one else can do in the world!
I’m a former deputy court clerk and I was the only black person that worked for the court for 6 years!! When other black lawyers and sometimes defendants would see me....the love they showed me...was unmistakable. My co-workers would ask do you know them? I didn’t. It’s just something that can’t be explained.

I work in the NYPD,I was assigned to A joint Task force as one of 6 detectives and my lieutenant and sergeant and the other 5 detectives were black,I showed them this the whole squad was rolling with laughter,but it made us happy to see a similar situation!

Showed up at the obgyn today. Insurance wouldn't work. Apparently a black lady was looking out while I was checking in and called the doctor who insisted I get seen insurance or not. Black nurses, black doctors, one of the best care day I've ever had ❤ so grateful for all my black ladies

During a visit from the president of Ghana all the black workers in Horse Guards ended up in one of the offices overlooking the parade ground. The sun was shining and reflecting off the breastplate worn by the Queen's Guards and it was a joy to behold the hundreds of Ghanaians who turned up to watch the queen greet their president. Central london was a sea of black men, women and children laughing and dancing to the beat of drums.
