- I set up a PS Stix 8.25" Quasi Skateboard and try out Alveer griptape for the first time. I set up the board and talk about Sewa Kroetkov's company Alveer. I skate Britannia Courts and I give you my first impressions.

Thank you Gabe for filming.
Alveer Grip restocked on Aug 1
Love Quasi and PS. Have skated a bunch. However, I’ll only buy them local (as we all should) because the kicks can be very different based on the press. Some are unskatably flat, at least for me. Glad that grip is holding up. Sounds like a nice in-between of Mob and Jessup.
i recognize a lot of the locals there. courts is my favorite park in vancouver.
Such a fun park.
Awsome Deck from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🛹🛹🛹🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I put stickers on my water bottle too, it’s fun!
Comment for the algo :)
Nicee board
We're riding with ya.
Yes
Just tried Miles for the first time on my last deck and.... not a fan. It looks really nice (as far as griptape goes) but it lost its grit surprisingly fast. I'd say after about a week of solid skating it felt like 6 month old Mob. Lesson learned, mob for life. If my shop gets alveer I'd give it a shot tho.
Nice videos, are you still on thunder lights as final decision or you'll go back to mid forged hollow indys? Im still in doubt but I'm 39 yrs old I like flipping and I wanted a set to make it easier but I also enjoyed for long time the Indies turn and I'm scared I won't get easily used to, do you feel thunder help with tricks much?
I really like the thunders, still on them. I found they helped with progressing on some flip tricks for sure. You get used to the turn in a couple sessions.
Thank you so much for the reply! So I'll definitely try them
Did you experience hollow kingpin break? I'm on a budget I'm considering the standard one for durability
Eyyy
825 is the new 8
Ive kind of went through the same trucks that you had, but now im having madness with conical fulls or classics. Do you find having classics helps your ledge or flatbar grinds more so than conicals?
I don't find a big enough difference between conical fulls and classics for locking. I prefer classics for flip tricks, they tip easier and are typically lighter depending on the size. I actually switched to classics right after making this video.
@@fiore_adriano thanks dude, I just switched to classics after months of riding concials and wasnt sure how this adjustment would be
what size shoes do you wear? also speaking on deck size, why is 8.25 your preference?
I have size 11 shoes. 8.25 is my preference because it's big enough for my shoe size and height (5'11") but small enough that flip tricks are still easy.
Never cut towards yourself.
I kind of like more this kind of skatepark, sometimes you got less not related people to roll with something.
Black magic all day..
Yo Adriano!….are you running FP insoles, in your blazers or no?
Yup, been running FP's in all my shoes for a couple years now.
@@fiore_adriano I’m looking into doing the same, was think that FP would take up too much room…..because the stock one is diabolically thin
Alveer grip on their website has been on "sold out status" since at least last week.
I believe they should re-stock soon. I guess they're getting popular.
Edit: Just got word; Will be re-stocked next week
how are the 101a conical fulls feeling?
I really like them, but now that I’m back on an 8.25 I put classics back on.
@@fiore_adriano do you prefer the 99a formula over the 101a formula?
I typically prefer the 99's. The 101's are cool, not a huge difference, they're a little louder.
I bet they would powerslide like nothing with 6.1 ventures. The wb/shape of ventures idk what it is but they powerslide/initiate pretty easy but if your local is slick...proceed with caution having conical fulls and 101a/F4s when your hard leaning/on edge if you dont ride loose trucks...they will slide or change your style/riding style to be wider. Though its already how ventures feel to skate. You feel cracks more with 101a...and bumps but if you have really fast bearings you feel like youre really hitting the surface more and can pump into curb cuts etc...idk it has a slightly different feel when theyre fresh before they cook up in the trunk/age/wear into their edge/widen up. IMO if youre skating a ditch and want to slide better on a ledge id say 101a gives you a speed/flow/rhythm advantage if you can handle a cutty spot/ditch vs using 97a/wax. etc. But if you get the 101a waxey/waxed up...and are skating a park/slick surface you will get cooked at high speeds/airs/transition or just know it comes with the territory of playing with the devil/wax. I ride 6.1 ventures and 159 indys...and at times they can stick on slides. But once you get used to them/break them in...theyre pretty fun wheels if you like to hit everything your park has to offer or like to ride pretty wide hangers/axles
Do you like Indy Silver 11 trucks ?
Never tried them
Do yall think 8.25 is that much smaller than 8.5? (Algo📈)
