    I wish I knew this last year. I found black, deep purple (almost black) and blue and purple galaxy petunias. I only found the purple galaxy ones this year. They were so beautiful. I would have loved to have my whole garden "Gothic" esque with them. I will try this with my galaxy ones as I have a massive planter of them :)

      I have rooted petunias in only soil.
      They dont need any rooting hormone trust me 🙃 but i do warn you.
      Once they root they will grow fast

      Me too I was thinking the same thing. You know I also just found out that once the flowers are spent, let them dry out and their seeds in there. I don't know why I didn't realize if I didn't see a seed pod there might still be seeds.

    Thank you for your time in making this demonstration-I can't wait to try this today! A sidenote: on the flower container I bought from a well known home goods store, it says in small print that the propagation of the particular flower is illegal. I guess I will be taking part in some illegal activities then! haha!

    I would rather remove the flower bud too so the the plant can send all the energy to produce roots. Nice sharing anyway.

    Yo I just started a mini grow from seeds. It's 42 spots with 3-7 seeds a spot. I wanna put this outside so bad but I'm in the midwest. It's been in the 30-40's and rain for like4 weeks with 1-2 days in the 60's. We need a break.

    Hello. I see you didn't cover the pot with clear plastic after you planted the cuttings. I recently tried to get petunia cuttings to root, but I covered them as another video showed. They have rotten in there under the covering. So.....wondering if no covering is necessary at all, or if I should have a cover but with some air to get in? Thanks very much.

      No need to cover in experience... Because I have many cuttings rooted without covering... But you have to place in indirect sunlight thats all

    1. Cutting the stem
    2. Use plant root hormone.
    3. Then leave it indirect sunlight for 1 week
    4. Put in the direct sunlight

      Give 3 to 4 times water a week and keep them in indirect sunlight, soil mix-garden soil, little varmicompose and if you have cocopeat give little and mix it well... Drainage hole should be good

      @@johnsonengleng You mean only while you are rooting them. When you plant them outside, they do best in full sun. But in a very hot climate they will need a lot of water, maybe even twice a day.
