I wonder how the "ula" was performed? Could it have been similar to the Hawaiian Hula?

Could the Ula be similar to the Wallis and Futuna Me’e Tokotahi/Tokotasi
UCLA use to move the hips so the Tongan then was so naively gave in to decimating our ancestral way of real Tongan dancing.
Yes! Although we did have a dance historically that moved your hips but the missionaries disallowed it because it was promiscuous.
@@deeteewritesthings2024 promiscuous in their 👀. Hhhh
@@melesataumoepeau287 eheee koe promiscuous mei mata mhk
@@deeteewritesthings2024 Hi I know this is an old comment but I have to ask. What was the dance called? Was it a Ula? Please answer this!
@@thinebuttocks5002Hi! I'm very sorry I just saw this comment. The dance was called the "me'elaufola" historically. We still are unsure as to how the 'ula looked but as Milika said it was a solo dance and may be similar to the me'e tokotahi fafine tau'aluga found in 'Uvea (Wallis).
Malie koia foki👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️
