      Garmin Zumo XT. I can also blue tooth music from my phone through it when I am riding in town, as well as blue Nav instructions and even phone calls into my helmet (again in town). If you connect your Garmin to your phone, the mobile phones tell each other where congestion is, and the Garmin will route you around problems.

      I use my S20 FE with a sincetop phone mount and calimoto. All my gloves work quite well with touchscreens so, ts doesn't bother me to just use my phone
      I do plan on getting a 7in androiauto/apple carplay system. The horror stories of motorcycle vibrations destroying camera sensors and gyro sensors on phones kinda makes me feel uneasy. Can't imagine not taking photos while on tour with my motorcycle

    This is a great unit after a month of testing. I recommend to replace the screw that holds the ball adapter to the unit. It comes with a Phillips head screw without thread lock. I was on the way to work a few days ago and my unit came loose from the ball adapter and was about to fly off. Luckily, I wasn't going fast enough. I replaced it with a hex screw @ 25-inch lbs with thread lock.

    Thanks for this review! Just ordered mine. Got it for under two hundred dollars on sale from Carpuride's site. For the price and features it can't be beat. All I need is my music and maps, just like in the car. This seems perfect for that.

    Good Vid. Wireless CarPlay uses the WiFi for data transfer. When you connect to the DJI WiFi you are disconnecting from the wireless part of the CarPlay, hence the disconnect.

    I’ve had mine for about a week running on a KTM 790 with an iPhone & a Pactalk Bold & have tried both connection configurations. I have also noticed the static when the Pactalk is run through the Carpuride. I’m now back to pairing the Pactalk directly to my phone & then the phone to the Carpuride. (The only drawback to this is that you have to select Pactalk as output vs Carpuride in Spotify with each startup)

    Not saying it's not true but something isn't right your headset should not be working while paired to the phone. That's not how that system was designed to work. The phone and headset should both be paired to the screen.

    the wifi/bt that carplay/android auto uses...is also needed by your dji. so when you connected the dji it knocked the wifi off the connection to the carpuride.

    These are all the same white-labeled Chinese Android devices that are then named and marketed through channels like these. Chigee sells the EXACT same unit. There are a few other 'brands' doing the same song and dance with these units. They just use their own branded packaging. It is coming from the same factory!
    I'm not knocking the devices but some of these channels are framing it like these are separate brands or something like that and that they 'discovered' it. No. The biggest drawback is the fact that you cannot pinch and zoom the screen like on other map apps. There is no pinch and zoom! The screen has glare and as it collects dust every time you touch it you will create micro scratches. Other then that it is pretty good value for money but if you look around you can even find these as cheap as $100 with no-name on it. You are literally paying extra for the custom packaging only! ;;)

    • @adventureundone
      @adventureundone  Před 2 měsíci

      you cant pinch zoom on a cars car play either. But you are right, there are many brands making carplay devices.
