    Brad and Bob hello! I had a recent back injury pulling my lower right lumbar muscle. I questioned why? It makes sense after adding all these factors that come into play with my injury, I do slouch a lot at work as well as home when I’m relaxing I have the C shape not realizing I sleep like that in a fetal position and waking up fatigued feeling cranky at the world. I've got a variety of inflatables to take with me - car, beach, dentist, anywhere I have to sit more than a few minutes for behind me, For my bottom, I use a Relaxo-bak (since 1998), but it didn't work in my PriusV or Volt, seats slope backwards too much. The pain the car caused was so bad, I couldn't drive without crying, which I had to do for my little business, so I'd do it anyway, then I'd have trouble walking for 2+days after. Even traded off the Prius after 7 months for a Volt, which was better for a while then started hurting the same. No help anywhere. After many trials of cushions (at least a dozen) and trying to make one out of foam, even took the Prius to a car shop to make the seat better ($300, it was WORSE), I had a tremendous light bulb moment, inspired by my buckwheat pillow (using one for decades).
    I filled a zippered throw pillowcase my grandma made for me in the 1970s with 25# of green split peas and put it on the seat. It adjusts as needed to my not so ample buttocks (aka bones for a butt) each time I drive, even while I drive. BONUS is that it retains the heat from my seats. Still working on the perfect lumbar support, using an inflatable currently, but now I can enjoy driving again and I don't have tears in my eyes when I meet customers to deliver worms. :)
    (PS I have scoliosis and AS, added some of B&B's exercises to my regimen, too, which I'm sure are helping)

    Any suggestions on an uncomfortable couch?? I sit on 4 travel pillows and that still isn't good. Do I need more support on my back as the throw pillow is very soft? A new couch is not in the picture $ now!!

  • @dancekitty135
    @dancekitty135 Před 2 lety

    A question for Bob & Brad for a future video!!! Do dancers and people with "good posture" get unhealthy postural straightening of natural spinal curves? How do I know if I've lost my natural curves? Should I stop trying to make a straighter and taller posture, even though I have good spinal flexibility in any direction? I think this topic will interest many people!!! I wonder if it's like the "knee over toes" myth...

    I LOVE YOU 2💯💯!! I am 40 years old and I was a waitress (aka) server for 23 years!! I started at 16. I also worked in a call center for 3 years. I was in an abusive relationship from ages 18-21. I was thrown against walls, choked, and my right leg was sat upon with a man’s full body weight. I say all that to say that now I have sciatica, pinched nerves that are protruding into my spinal cord, and recently horrible numbness and tingling and burning feelings in my neck all the way down to my finger tips on my right side & debilitating back pain. Steroids didn’t work, Physical Therapy also didn’t work and I had Arthroscopic knee surgery in 2007 on the right knee and still have horrific knee pain!!!!! What do you think I should do?? Please help me!!!!

Even when you show that one could use a towel for support you didn't really show how to place it properly to sorry the back. Also I expected exercises or something else to remedy or prevey low back pain , like back strengthening exercises.. why not provide that kind of useful information?
