What's with the random selection of levels?

I don't know the route so I can't say for sure, but it's probably to increase consistency with finishing runs/getting fast resets. Some of the tricks with knocking items off ledges would probably be difficult to do consistently (in the first stage, Planning Pools, look at the way Oatchi has to get nudged between the two walls to knock the duck in a specific way that he can swallow it from the top of the ledge without having to go all the way around through the water). Putting difficult tricks like that near the beginning of the run makes it much less punishing to reset if you fail them.

i assume the routing is to put harder stages in the front so messing up won't be as much a waste of time

@@Woodswolf Watching the run, I'm 100% sure it's due to "harder" (more random) levels being put first. Not just the Oatchi bashes to get the rubber ducky close to the opposite ledge so Oatchi can swallow it, but also the crab enemy over by the gold nuggets, which could randomly spot Pikmin carrying the nuggets.

timer doesn't count down when doing the 'go here' so you can meticulously direct movement vs RTA time
