Stroke/CVA/ Faalij (فاج) poses a major burden on our health care system.
It can be divided into ischaemic and hemorrhagic stroke/CVA.
There are certain risk factors that put a person at greater risk for having a stroke in his lifetime. Some of these risk factors are easily avoidable, like smoking, and others like Diabetes and hypertension can be managed, thus reducing the risk of having stroke.
In this podcast with kafeel ur rehman @HealthCast-gy3bn @HealthCast-PodCast, I have tried to explain this sensitive disease in detail with simple understandable native language.
I have thrown some light on its types,signs & symptoms, risk factors, role of CT scan, how it can be primarily prevented, how is it managed and more importantly what to do if your beloved someone is having signs of acute stroke.
