you can close the supply Freon line, turn compressor on to suck the Freon back into the compressor from the inside unit then close the return line.

Steel wool and spray foam, mice don’t like the steel wool, pack the hole with the steel wool and add spray foam to air tight it.

I’m an HVAC technician and you did better than most by at least closing the valves on the condenser unit! However you should have closed just the pressure side(small line) then manually closed the contacter on the outside unit so it would suck the refrigerant out of the inside unit then close the suction valve (big line)! The amount of refrigerant you released would’ve cost me 100k and possibly jail time as well as my license! Now you know how to properly do it in the future but always I recommend a professional when dealing with refrigerant!

I hate that when Fed ex or ups looses a shipment. That split unit will save you a lot of money on heat compared to that old heat you had!

How cold does it normally get where you are if it gets cold you may need a back up source of heat because the heat pump isn’t gonna keep up on the real cold days we never install a heat pump as the only source of heat I’m in Canada though

Those chassis are going to just keep bending in the rear , there is no strength there’s no good triangulation in the top rear part of that chassis,,, if it get hit at all , looks like it🎉will end, Easy,so , don’t get hit,,,ro hit anyone with the rearend, thanks BigAl California, praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏

I think chase needsto stay right where he is for 2 to 4 more years, no big cars yet, maybe a dwarf car mini sprint or legends car first and then street stock and then modified, right, thanks BigAl California.
That's good way for him to learn. Maybe it'll teach him to respect the equipment and that daddy and mommy won't just pay for everything new. Kids now days have no respect for anyone nor equipment
